Drama Digest

“An eye for an eye” is a gripping and riveting upcoming Thai drama that was released in May 2021 and depicts the tale of a family whose head of family member died abruptly, leading the other members to figure out who’s behind this conspiracy which results in a family dispute, suspicion on family members, and even in the blossoming of forbidden love among two family members. This drama, in the beginning, might seem to be less exciting, but as the story progresses with each episode, it becomes more captivating.

The Feel-Good Part

This show has the capability of making its viewers keep thinking the fact that now it’s going to be steady, but suddenly the plot takes a new turn and its starts getting messy. What makes this drama stand out is the characters, action, story, result and effect. The slow burn yet the most mature development can be visible in the whole drama. What makes this drama better than other dramas is the fact that it carries traits of more than one genre like romance, suspense, thriller, and typical family drama too.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot of this drama doesn’t hold much clarity as it shares the traits of different genres which leads to showing none of the genre as deep as one thought of it to be. Also, in some parts of the drama, the story seems to a running at a quick pace, while in the very beginning, it’s a bit slower than usual.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama revolves around the Julia Pak break family who has recently lost their family head member in a plane crash. The plot is quite interactive that can catch the attention of murder mystery and family drama lovers. As the story progresses, we can witness some emotional as well as intense moments being shared among themselves with each other. The plot also sheds some light on sibling bonding that later helps them in finding their father’s culprit but also how a forbidden love can become a barrier causing dispute and tangling up all the relationships. Wagyu and Sara share unspeakable and interesting chemistry stating that they are both their stepmother’s stepsons. Yet, somehow in a twisted way, they have romantic feelings for each other.

Star Power

The roles played by all the actors were extremely well played and felt natural. All the actors and actresses seem to understand and feel their roles accurately as they enact them in front of the camera with perfection. Not even for a moment will a viewer feel like whatever is happening in drama isn’t real.

Overall Opinion

This is a perfect option for non-suspense-action and family drama lovers. All the intense scenes in drama with a little bit of those emotional moments happening from time to time will rile you up, and you will want more content of it. It’s definitely an engaging and captivating drama.
