Drama Digest

When two friends reconnect and recount their experiences as victims of school bullying, a note from a friend from 20 years ago arrives, and unexplained serial deaths begin to occur.Kyung Min is still haunted by the tragedy of the school violence he witnessed two decades ago, and an unexpected case brings his suppressed emotions back to the surface. Meanwhile, Detective Jong Suk receives an enigmatic note from a 20-year-old friend, which reminds him of the school violence that occurred at the time. He tries to put an end to the murders by following the mysterious message. The drama explores the origins of school violence and the bullying that plagues modern society via these tragic characters.

The Feel-Good Part

The performance. In my opinion, it is wonderful. The cast was meticulously chosen. The younger cast is deserving of special mention because, holy moly, they can act (and their presence is unforgettable)!! The juvenile cast effectively conveys the pure fear, wrath, and detached mood to the adult cast. In TKOP, no character is in the right; they’ve all done something wrong, but you’ll still have people to cheer for, even if it feels wrong at times.

The Disappointing Factors

It features serious bullying, which I generally avoid because it’s distressing and difficult to watch, but I like how the scenes alternate between memories and present day; it helps to balance out the disturbing atmosphere and doesn’t entirely overwhelm you. I don’t condone violence of any kind, yet I’m rooting for the assailant.

In-Depth Analysis

The film King of Pigs is a shockingly nasty, violent, aggressive, and explicit depiction of bullying and money. This spine-chilling and nail-biting thriller is fast-paced, addicting, dark, brutal, and loaded with revenge, making it the ideal drama for this genre. It’s a highly strong and well-made series; there are no fillers, and each scene and episode will shock you, irritate you, distress you, and gratify you all at the same time. High-school bullying is common in East Asian countries, and its impact on victims has ruined countless lives throughout history. And it is one of the unjust world’s crimes that goes unpunished in the courts.

Star Power

Kim Sung Gyu is so endearing that he captures my attention in every scene he appears in, from “Kingdom” to “One Ordinary Day” and now this.

Overall Opinion

To summarise, this drama is CRAZY. I can’t believe people are overlooking this; it needs more attention, so if you enjoy thrillers and the elements I described above, I strongly advise you to see it; you won’t be disappointed.
