Drama Digest

The story involves four people trying to reach their goal. Kang Hae Ra, a former reporter, had struggled a lot to look after her family before getting married. After her marriage to a celebrity, she became a famous influencer. She gets tangled up in a scandal and wants to take revenge on those who ruined her status. Meanwhile, Cha Min Joon is a successful lawyer and wants to take revenge on those who ruined his family. Kim Tae On wants to take over her father’s company as the sole heir. She has to face her father to achieve that position. In the meantime, Ku Eun Hye takes up a challenging case threatening her career as a detective. Soon the four meet and find that there is more to their targeter than what meets the eye.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama successfully portrays the action, thrill, and power of women. The suspense is intense from the first episode itself. The four lead characters’ meeting is integrated smoothly into the plot. Every episode has a surprise in store. The background music gives more effect to the storyline. Every episode has a cliffhanger. The plot keeps the viewers hooked to it. It makes the viewers want another season of the drama.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama has a few plot holes making it eligible for a second season to clear them. The ending is somewhat abrupt. The interaction between the lead characters does not satisfy the audience. The plot was stretched out a bit in the last few episodes. The sub-plots may give rise to confusion for a few viewers. It may make it difficult for them to connect the dots. The plot omits the romance by the end of it.

In-Depth Analysis

The show begins in a trice. The central themes established in the drama are revenge and women empowerment. The plot circles around the four leading characters – Kang Hae Ra, Cha Min Joon, Kim Tae On, and Ku Eun Hye. Kang Hae Ra gets involved in a conspiracy, the scandal ruining her reputation. She is conspired against and fights back to get her revenge. It shows that we should never be afraid of fighting back to protect our self-esteem and dignity. Cha Min Joon doesn’t hesitate to ruin those who touched his family to bring him down. His character tells us that no matter what happens, we should protect our family from any harm meant for us. Kim Tae On signifies persistence in reaching the goal and never giving up. Ku Eun Hye depicts determination and intelligence.

Star Power

Yoon Hyun Min has played the striking character of the lawyer Cha Min Joon. Kim Sa Rang has powerfully portrayed Kang Hae Ra’s character. Yoo Sun and Yoon So Yi add to the women empowerment theme by playing the characters of Kim Tae On and Ku Eun Hye, respectively. The whole cast had done their job amazingly.

Overall Opinion

The drama opens people’s minds toward women’s empowerment using the thrill and suspense elements. It is worth giving a try if you love revenge thrillers.
