Drama Digest

The drama follows Young Min, a celebrated surgeon who’s accident puts him into a coma. His spirit unexpectedly is able to enter Seung Tak, a fellow resident’s body, who can also communicate with spirits. Thus, they together embark on a mission to help each other out and become good friends as a result.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is filled with its own bittersweet moments. From comedy, to romance, to drama, this is an all-in-one drama. Viewers will enjoy this drama even if they cannot keep up with the medical jargon that keeps being thrown.

The Disappointing Factor

The only disappointing factor is the end of the drama. It was expected that the other spirits stories and a bit about their future would be shown but they did not do so and only showed us a few glimpses and left it to our imagination what was to happen to them.

In-Depth Analysis

Cha Young Min (Rain) is a haughty yet talented thoracic surgeon. He is incredibly brilliant in his specialty of medicine, yet he is conceited and distant. He is only concerned with developing his career, alienating everyone around him, including his ex-girlfriend, Jang Se Jin, a neurosurgeon (Uee). His polar opposite is Go Seung Tak (Kim Bum), a resident surgeon who has ascended to a lofty position in the medical field only because his grandpa is the founder of one of the country’s finest hospitals. He is book smart and intelligent, the only flaw he has is he has failed to perform any practical operations which is much required for medical students to go through. However, when an unusual medical case takes an unexpected turn, when Cha Young Min enters a coma due to an accident, as a result of which his spirit roams in the hospital and he befriends other spirits. Cha Young Min’s spirit enters Go Seung Tak’s body, bestowing upon him remarkable medical abilities. Go Seung Tak finds that he is the talk of the medical town all of a sudden. People start making unreasonable requests, by asking him to operate in their stead. Young Min soon discovers Seung Tak’s ability to talk to spirits. However, Oh Soo Jung (Son Naeun), a young emergency department intern, believes she can detect something is wrong. Despite her medical background, she believes in paranormal events. Will the “genuine” Go Seung Tak ever return to the operating room, and how long will this bizarre medical condition last. Young Min and Seung Tak thus embark on a mission, first to save Young Min and at the same time remove Seung Tak’s fear of operating on other patients.

Star Power

With such a stellar cast it is to be expected that we will experience their top-notch acting skills. All actors including supporting roles play their part well and showcase their dynamic chemistry which just adds to the story.

Overall Opinion

This drama is perfect for anyone who is interest to try out a new genre of Korean dramas but does not want to watch the typical Korean dramas. It definitely will be a new experience for viewers watching this.
