Drama Digest

The 3 episode spinoff will tell the story of Lee Rang and Ki Yoo Ri before and during the events of “Tale of the Nine-Tailed.”

The Feel-Good Part

All three episodes depict Lee Rang’s intense love and yearning for Lee Yeon. These episodes were crucial for kicking the main series’ or, more especially, Lee Ring’s, hangover. He delivered a stirring performance that caused much impact and pain. Even if it’s only a brief video of Lee Rang, it’s still worthwhile to see. When he passed away, he left many viewers inconsolable, but this little story has made me much more inconsolable. He is aware of his loneliness, longing, and shattered heart because he believes Lee Yeon has abandoned him. Such a horrible outcome for him, which is unfair considering how much suffering he has already through.

The Disappointing Factor

Lee’s story had such a horrible finish, which wasn’t fair to him because he had already endured a lot of suffering. He and Kim Soo are so adorable when they are together, therefore really was hoping to see more scenes and episodes of him.

In-Depth Analysis

Lee Dong-wook, Jo Bo-ah, and Kim Bum are the main characters in the 2020 South Korean television drama Tale of the Nine Tailed. From October 7 to December 3, 2020, it had 16 episodes and broadcast on tvN every Wednesday and Thursday at 22:30 (KST).

Star Power

In all three episodes, Lee Rang expresses his intense love and longing for Lee Yeon. To recover from the main series’ or, more precisely, Lee Ring’s hangover, these episodes were greatly needed. His stirring performance created a lasting impression and caused anguish. It’s worth seeing even if this is just a little clip of Lee Rang. Many of his fans were devastated when he passed away, but this little story has left me even more devastated. Having experienced loneliness, longing, and heartbreak believing Lee Yeon had abandoned him. Such a horrible conclusion for him—one that isn’t fair to him given how much suffering he has already through.

Overall Opinion

Even if it’s only a brief clip of Lee Rang, it’s still worthwhile to see.
