“Taejong Yi Bang Won” is a South Korean television series that tells the story of leader Lee Bang Won, who led the founding of the Joseon empire. It shows the third king of Joseon from a new perspective. We also know it as “The King of Tears Lee Bang Won”.

The Feel-Good Part

As a signature historical drama from KBS, this is a huge comeback. It gained many viewers after its release since it is based on a real person rather than a fictional character. There have been many dramas on the same person before, but this one is at the top with its experienced and skilled cast.

The Disappointing Factor

The biggest disappointment of this drama was the injury of the horse in one of the prominent scenes. Many critics called it as intentional, while many call it an accident. It violated animal rights as the horse died, eventually. Hence, the show was called off for around 6 weeks and they released the remaining episodes in a bind, which caused low ratings for the overall show.

In-Depth Analysis

It is a revival of a historical drama produced by KBS.

Star Power

Despite all the scandals, it is an excellent show with an amazing cast and wonderful production. This show is perfect for all the history fanatics out there.
