Drama Digest

The drama is set in a café named ‘Kanya,’ where the lead character Tham works. On one of his regular uneventful workdays, Sakay comes to the café as a trainee barista but their first meeting does not go well. Will this love- hate relationship bloom into romance in the future?  Will ‘Sakay’ be able to fill some color in Tham’s boring life?

The Feel-Good Part

This drama consists of only four episodes and each episode is of ten minutes. Within this short span, the drama shows a light and soothing romance between Tham and Sakay. It succeeds in portraying the required chemistry between the characters simply by their body language. The OST is ear soothing. The twist at the end is a nice surprise.

Star Power

Actor Aoom Thaksakorn as Tham and Jummongkrit Kritjumnog have pulled off their roles well. The comic timing of side characters is pretty good.

The Disappointing Factor

One of the significant disappointing factors of this drama is its length. Its total duration is ten minutes but the opening and ending theme consumes a total of around two minutes, so the remaining drama is only around eight minutes per episode. It is so short that the viewers will feel like the drama ends before it starts. Though the actors did their job, the acting could have been better in portraying the mutual chemistry. The romance between them feels rushed. Also, after the first meeting, Tham’s behavior towards Sakay is overly dramatic just because Sakay bumped into Tham. In the end, the story feels rushed.

In-depth Analysis

The drama shows the life of a young lad who is trying hard to survive without parent’s help to gain recognition. It shows that divorce of parents creates turmoil in a child’s mind. This drama also offers a good bonding between a café owner and his employees, which is undoubtedly enjoyable and fun to watch. Besides, the chemistry between leads and the seaside scenery gives you a feel of serenity. This drama also presents the cross-dressing style, which is indeed a bold and commendable step.

Overall Opinion

If you want to watch some light BL, and don’t mind about the story or screenplay that much, you can give it a try, but for an experienced viewer, the drama may not be of very good taste. With an amateurish plot, poor filming, and ‘somewhat okay’ acting, this drama is not one for experienced viewers.
