Drama Digest

The story is shown to be happening in a future where bedridden patients are taken care of by robots. It’s the robot’s job to constantly provide the needed care and help, which generally isn’t offered appropriately and is mostly overlooked. In one such scenario, a mother who has been in a coma for ten years now is looked after by a robot called Gan Ho Joong. Her flamboyant career is wholly drained. Jung In, who is the patient’s daughter, is going through a severe emotional and financial crisis, because of which she wanted to end her life. The intelligent nursing robot, which is in charge of looking after both of them, is distressed when it is constrained to decide about who it shall save.

The Feel-Good Part

The story isn’t like your typical Korean drama, but instead, it is a very unconventional storyline. Its sci-fi element is great and will leave you wondering whether these things will be possible? Or, will such situations arise in the future when robots become a regular part of our society? The acting is highly believable. The special episode can truly be considered as some substantial standalone sci-fi movie. It feels like one. The story is wholesome and enthralling on the whole.

The Disappointing Factor

It is an excellent example of a pure science fiction story. Hence, anyone who isn’t into sci-fi might find the story weird and boring. Therefore, it might be unsuccessful in satisfying a significant audience. Although the story is intriguing, at a point, you might still be confused about what the story is trying to convey. The story is intense and will give you goosebumps, but many might find it to be uncomfortable. It might set the audience in a sense of distress, anxiety and a somewhat ominous vibe.

In-Depth Analysis

It is an enjoyable sci-fi story. It is done with significant perfection, and the drama’s setting is nice. The direction is done very well. The story is shown to be set in sometime in the future, and you won’t find yourself questioning it even once. Everything feels realistic, almost to an extent where you might even start thinking that maybe this is actually how things will be in the future. The cinematography and the sound effect are probably the main stars. They increase the entertainment fact to another height. Some scenes are shot so well that you will express admiration towards the perfect camera angle.

Star Power

The acting deserves massive praise and appreciation. It is the main enjoyment constituent of the show. Being a sci-fi show, if the acting wouldn’t have been believable, the show would not at all have been worth it. The brilliant acting of the cast is what adds the real shine to the glory of the drama. ‘Lee Yoo Young,’ does an outstanding job as robot Gan Ho Joong. Her acting, posture, body language, way of speaking and everything else felt completely realistic. ‘Yee Soo Jung’ and ‘Yeom Hye Ran’ also did a commendable job.

Overall Opinion

It is a different story and is worth a try. Not everyone might enjoy this show, yet it might be an exciting watch for every sci-fi genre lover. It is a new kind of story if we judge from K-Drama’s point of view.
