This drama uncovers corruption and ensures its perpetrators face justice. The secret royal inspector can it reveal himself. Ra Hi Eon wants to start a dumpling stall outside the capital. He had not planned on taking and passing the state examination. There are plenty of officials in the office of special advisors to carry out covert missions. Kim Jo Yi, a woman who is ahead of her eternity due to her impressions on divorce. She is passionately in bolster of divorce whenever she finds any woman suffering during her marriage duration. She is anticipating the envisioned happiness she will get by slashing ties with her spouse. Jo Yi persuades Yi Eon to make it on his first official investigation. They can uncover wrongdoing and wipe out corruption jointly.

The Feel-good Part

The comic elements are the best part of the drama. The comedy is one of the best part of the drama. The runtime was shot outside the court without much involvement to the palace. They also emphasized woman’s empowerment. The female lead is not a typical Joseon lady. She is an educated woman and promotes woman’s rights.

The Disappointing Factor

The inspecting part was not acceptable. The downfall of the villains was not satisfying. It felt like things were missing.

In-depth Analysis

The story revolves around a secret royal inspector appointed t discover corruption by the government officials. On his way to the mission, he meets a lady, and she joins him on the mission. The Inspector’s two servants and two friends of the lady accompany them. As the six people moves ahead to solve the cases that unravel tragic truths behind the crime and corruption. After discovering the truth, the next challenge is how they bring forward the fact and establish justice. Ra Yi Eon is the royal inspector who once thought of opening a dumpling shop. Park Seung, the left state councillor, and his son, Park Tae Seo, both are corrupted. The plot is easy-going, but few random elements are mixed. The pacing was not perfect. The humor, at times, felt forced.

Star Power

The actors delivered the comic elements well with their acting. Lee Jae Kyon did well as an antagonist. Kim Hye Yeon was also good with her role. The acting from the entire cast was decent.

Overall Opinion

Secret royal inspector and joy is an average drama to watch. But it is recommended to watch for the comedy it consists. It is a simple and light watch for binge-watching.
