Drama Digest
The drama is based on a furniture worker and a struggling girl. Sudou Ichiharu is a furniture worker who works earnestly but couldn’t make a piece of furniture that would surprise his teacher. On the other hand, Motohashi Sakurako works in an advertising firm. She supports herself as well as her family because her father’s company got bankruptcy. Both of them have a similarity. The Feel-Good Part
The drama has an inspiring plot. The characters Motohashi and Sudou are realistic. Viewers can relate to their lives. The drama shows the everyday struggle to survive overcoming the hurdles. This is an essential life lesson. Motohashi is a struggling girl but not weak. She is determined in what she is doing. On the other hand, Sudou is also a struggling worker who works hard to satisfy his teacher even if he fails repeatedly. The viewers can relate to their emotional turmoil. Both the characters are portrayed very well.
The Disappointing Factor
The male lead’s acting could have been better. Fujigaya Taisuke fails to portray the character development of Sudou through his acting. It seems that he has no effort in the relationship. The chemistry also could have been better. The plot is amazing, but the execution is not that good. The direction could have been better.
In-Depth Analysis
The plot tells the story of the emotional breakdown of people. Almost everybody suffers a mental breakdown at least once. Here Sudou lost his loved one. As a remembering of that event, he can’t speak for nearly a week in the month of December. From the outside, he seemed fine, but actually, he is not. On the other hand, Motohashi wants to forget the pain of load and struggle she had to take for the sake of her family. She thinks if she gets married, she can be happy. Such events are relatable to the viewers. When they met, they started healing each other by keeping each other company. These scenes are emotional and heart-warming as well. The plot depicts the everyday lives and emotional state of people.
Star Power
Fujigaya Taisuke fails to portray the character development of Sudou through his acting. On the other hand, Motohasi is well portrayed by Nao. She successfully pulls through Motohashi’s emotional state of mind.
Overall Opinion
Overall in such a short number of episodes, the drama combines some difficult topics which deserve appreciation. But the male lead’s acting could have been better. Hence people can give it a try. They will like the life aspects of this drama which is inspiring.
