Drama Digest
“United win” is a 2022 Chinese drama based on youth and sports. The story revolves around students from Longhu Boys High School. It is also known as “My Roommate is a Scholar.”
The Feel-Good Part
The show was lighthearted and funny but also delivered critical messages on the serious subject. It depicts the relationships between the boys in the sports and track team. The show gave a natural drama that makes you feel for the characters as they go through a roller coaster of emotions. It deals with some serious issues, such as property, and the effect on the children who care about their parents. It covers bullying and defending the victim was done gracefully.
The Disappointing Factor
The ending of the show is underdeveloped and adequately put. Many elements of their lives were poor in the last few episodes. There were a few areas in the show that was less explored and could have been better developed.
In-Depth Analysis
The first day of the new semester started in the fall of 2019. Ling Hu Zhong was a poor student and recently transferred to Ningbo from Guangzhou. Once on his way to school, she helps an old lady cross the road and accidentally meets a classmate that he has never met before. His name was Mi Xiao Long and got help from him. They are both studying in 2nd-year art and sports class and are part of the school’s track and field team at Longhu Boy’s High School. Ling Hu Zhong wants to reduce the button on his family and often goes to work secretly. Mi Xiao Long has quite a stable family, so he helps Ling Hu Zhong with his work. The friendship has come a long way with this, but they have undergone various struggles in the outside world. A particular group is composed in the art and sports class, which include students from that class. Ling Hu Zhong and Mi Xiao studied, trained, and worked with blood, sweat, and tears and gained precious bonds of friendship. Another four students in the sports class include Yi Yuan Kai, Tian Xing, Han Lu, and Tung Meng. And from art class- Bao Gang, Wang Wen Feng, Zhou Yu Ke, and Zhao Bei Nan. All of them become close friends and face the troubles and barriers in adolescence, but stumble and grow together.
Star Power
The actors made all the emotions feel real, be it pain, happiness, or confusion. The lead roles played by Wu Qi Long and Li Yi Cheng, who played the characters of Mi Xai Long and Lin Gu Zhong, display emotions and perform mesmerizingly.
Overall Opinion
Overall, it is an excellent show about youth, friendship, and high school. The show covers most of the incidents that occur in a high school and the struggles teenagers go through during that period. It covers all the essential topics that need to be discussed among high school students. There are strong bonds of friendship and humor in this picture. It is a good investment and worth the time.
