Drama Digest:

Based on the conflict that raged in Hengyang during June and August of 1944. 110,000 soldiers from the Japanese army were repelled by the Chinese army for 47 days by 18,000 soldiers and more than 4,000 migrant laborers from Hengyang.

The Feel-Good Part:

Even without a few pointless plot twists, the drama would still be entertaining. The play combines practically everything. The primary plot, which is well-written, advances slowly. You can still enjoy this movie even if you don’t understand Korean.

The Disappointing Factor:

Although it started out strong, it had potential to be stronger. Anyone who enjoys Korean dramas with their typical storytelling style might find this odd.

In-Depth Analysis:

The conflict in the drama began in 1944, when the Japanese army sought to occupy Hengyang, China. Only a female telegrapher and a radio station remained after the Japanese army blasted the defensive communications battalion. The only access to the outside world was the radio station. The Chinese leadership instructed the defenders to wait for reinforcements while they stood by.

Star Power:

The main male leads include Yang Yang as Jing Qi Di and Yu He Wei as Fang Xian Jue. The plot moves smoothly and intriguingly as it develops.

Overall Opinion:

Due to its distinctive plot, those who have watched a number of shows will find this one special.
