Drama Digest

“Our beloved summer: The documentary” is a compilation of their documentary recordings that were produced as a part of the original drama our beloved summer. It shows the whole documentary from the beginning of their school days, their present day, and the end of the show interview.

The Feel-Good Part

This drama is the perfect example of mature romance, and the storytelling is worth watching. It shows the growth and progress of a person throughout time and the changes they undergo as they grow up. It is a “coming-of-age” drama. It is interesting to watch the unraveling of emotions and the series of complicated feelings that they have for each other, which have changed with time. The change in perspectives allows us to focus on each of the character’s emotions. The slow manner of storytelling and the events in the show make it very comforting to watch. It also sets out an important message that the career you choose in high school does not define the person you become when you grow up.

The Disappointing Factor

The only disappointing factor was the pacing of the show, which was not going consistent. It was fast in certain scenes and slow in the rest.

Star Power

The cast, the famous actors and actresses in the K-Drama world: Choi Woo Shik and Kim Dami. Having received remarkable compliments for their previous shows, they did not fail in providing their roles for this one. The portrayal of their chemistry and emotional depth was brilliant and both of them were perfect for the roles. Two of the side characters, Ahn Dong Goo and Park Jin Joo, also did an excellent job.

Overall Opinion

One of the highest-rated dramas in the romance and life genre is this show. The documentary, being the very base of the show, will not disappoint you. It is as interesting to watch as the show. It will be a good comfort show to watch besides the original show.
