Drama Digest
While surfing Google, I learned about this great drama, but I was so shocked to see the ratings. At first, I thought to leave this drama, but the name ‘melancholia’ was attracting me, so much so I decided to watch the drama. After scanning I was delighted with the unique plot. From the beginning I hate maths but who knows maths could be so beautiful. This drama shows the views of a mathematician. The story was neither depressing nor dark.
The Feel-Good Part
If you like secret love affairs, then this is the perfect drama for you. This drama depicts subtle and pure romance; instead of a love scene, they prefer to use math metaphors. Melancholia is a journey of bleakness, depression, and despair with fruitful meanings and worthwhile. Most of the dramas hold this story, but the uniqueness of this drama is that it’s based on mathematics. The plot uses a different approach to seeing life.
The Disappointing Factor
Although the plot was good but apart from the story, cinematography attracts the viewers, but this drama lacks in it. Visual music effects, costumes, digital effects were not up to the mark. If an effect given in a drama attracts you the most, then this drama is not a good option for you. Only the plot of the drama holds the audience, neither costume nor can effects have an audience.
In-Depth Analysis
There are some different features which you can see only in this drama. The characters use maths to describe something unique and beautiful. I don’t like maths, but the characters made me peculiar about it. The ending is perfect. One thing I noticed was that the writer could make characters lovers in episodes 13-14. Maybe the wait is for ML to become mature and have some time to pursue his career. When Ji Yoon Su meets Baek-Seung-Yoo again at the same place where they met first, this scene is indescribable for me. It is more romantic than the kissing scene. Ji Yoon Su always supports and helps Baek-Seung-Yoo. She always does things that are best for him that’s the reason why she rejected his love when he was a student and when he was 21 years old as even at the age of 21, he was so childish and stubborn, no doubt he loves her a lot but the way he showed his love always put her in trouble.
Star Power
The acting of actors and actresses is outstanding. Every actor whether they are leading or supporting acts so well, their acting is so natural that while watching the drama, I thought this was real. Every time I watched this drama, I forgot about time.
Overall Opinion
I am in love with this drama. It needed guts to choose a whole different storyline. This drama gave me a whole new experience that was not doubted full of fun. I started this drama because I am obsessed with Lim Soo Jung’s beauty, and loved this drama. I have seen such a beautiful drama, so this drama will always hold a special place in my heart.
