Drama Digest
This KBS movie is directed by Choi Sang-Yeol and written by Yeom Je-Yi. The story revolves around the married life of Joo-Eun(Jeon So-Min) and Tae-hoon (Park Sung-Hoon). They have a six-year-old daughter who unfortunately dies in a car accident. This story revolves around how Joo-Eun grieves about her daughter. Tae Hoon couldn’t see his wife’s condition and asked his friend, Joom-Beom(Kim Gang-Hyun), who is a VR program developer. He offers to help them with an AI robot called BYEOL SAMA. The life of Joo-Eun and Tae-Hoon takes a better turn with the help of this robot, but soon, Joo-Eun gets obsessed with it.
The Feel Good Part
This movie beautifully demonstrates how a husband and wife stick together through thick and thin. Even after going through so much, Tae-Hoon is always there for Joo-Eun and helps her through her emotional distress, he being in grief. This movie tells how you can get over difficulties with the help of love.
The Disappointing Factor
The ending is very heartbreaking and could have been less excruciating and poignant.
In-Depth Analysis
This movie is not a regular romance movie. It depicts how a child’s death can affect parents and their relationship. The AI robot helps the lead to virtually see her daughter. She is later unable to differentiate and gets claustrophobic. This movie shows the pain a family is suffering, and beautifully portrays how together one can overcome this pain. The reality of life can be seen through this show.
Star Power
Jeon So-Min was able to deliver this character in a very realistic way. The cast was perfectly able to put out the required emotion and did so astoundingly.
Overall Opinion
This drama will help you through tricky times and helps you deal with the reality of life. It shows how one can get over misery in life if one helps each other.
