Drama Digest

‘Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku’ is a Japanese drama about a family of radicals. The Osawagi family lives in Urayasu, a small village in Chiba near Tokyo. It is a seven-membered menage, consisting of four children, parents, and a grandfather. Even simple family discussions turn into havoc by hilarious family members. Daihatsu, the family’s father, is a rash cab driver. The in charge of the household, including the family’s ridiculous behavior, is Junko, the housewife. The family issues and hilarity occasionally include the entire neighborhood in the misadventures. The Osawagi family drama, set in the middle class, is hilarious. Once you’ve seen ‘Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku,’ you’ll understand how the family manages to escape the utter chaos.

The Feel-Good Part

The family’s dramatic disarray is rib-tickling. Family members are often bickering in the most amusing ways. Daihatsu may appear to be a patriarchic father one moment and then transform into a father adoring his year old child the next, or a husband begging in front of his wife. All of the characters’ funny interactions are entertaining to see.

The Disappointing Factor

The film’s sound and visual effects are decent to a limit in making the drama seem more comedic and exciting to watch. While the plotline of the episode is usually tumultuous, there are instances when the plotline devolves into ambiguity to the point where the scenario doesn’t sound hilarious funny.

In-Depth Analysis

‘Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku’ is a drama adaptation of the same-named Japanese manga series. Funnily, the anime succeeds admirably. However, at times, the real-life ‘Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku’ appears to lack the hilarious enchantment of the manga series. Still, the drama’s characterization and storyline are primarily comedic. In the show, everyone acts to be revolutionary in their way. Despite this, the family members have a deep affinity. The father and daughter can turn against their older brother as a platoon. The drama, on the other hand, is innocent and grounded.

Star Power

The main male lead, Sato Jiro (Daitetsu), gave an outstanding performance. He did an excellent job of expressing multiple personalities in a single character. The comedic tone and voice will stick with you. Other supporting actors, such as Mizuno Miki (Junko) and Kishii Yukino (Sakura), also put up their best efforts to make the comedy series a success.

Overall Opinion

The drama’s collection of comedic sequences is funny. The jokes and comments are clever and intriguing. The plots of the episodes are well-paced, allowing the audience to enjoy the humorous situations. The strange actions of the Osawagi family are worth watching all at once.
