The Feel-Good Part

It seems like a fun and original story with important messages. It has an exciting twist in the middle, which was surprising, but necessary. It delivers an important message, which says that everything that happens in life has a hidden meaning that benefits your future in one way or the other. In-Depth Analysis

Hagino Shion had a specific incident during her teenage that changed her future to a significant extent. When she was 17 years old, she went to confess her first love. But the answer she received was too harsh on her. Her crush replied, “if you want to confess, at least do something about your appearance.” That changed her whole perspective, and 12 years later, she became a beauty consultant who is now a makeup expert and has an excellent style. She has never had a boyfriend to date but leads a happy and fulfilling life. One of her overly concerned friends set her up with a blind date. She can attract many guys, but she feels uncomfortable around them and smiles awkwardly. At the blind date party, she overhears a conversation where a man makes fun of a woman’s appearance. She couldn’t tolerate it and lost all control at that point and it triggered, and negative memory that she had from childhood. She comes across a picture of herself in her high school days, and it remains of the 12 years old trauma that she had in her heart. Full of emotions, she tears the picture and closes it away, but at that very moment, she enters into a blinding light and is not transported back to that period in high school. She is now reunited with her first love and has to face him. Although she was confused, she tried to compensate for everything that she had missed at that time. Now with her expert skills, she transforms herself with the power of makeup that she has cultivated over the years, and tried to approach her first love again.

Star Power

Kumada Rinka, who played Hagino Shion, was perfect for her character. Hasegawa Soma’s actor, Honda Koya, brought out all the emotions and mimics accurately. Mitsuki Akiyama’s character by Mizutani Kaho was an excellent choice. Besides, all the side characters, including Hagino’s parents, were exceptionally talented.
