Drama Digest
This drama revolves around a well-known private detective and a demoted officer who got transferred to a rural city station. As soon as he gets a case and fails to solve it, he gets to know about Tokyo. Despite not wishing to seek help, he ultimately had to request for her aid.This show talks about her unique ways of solving the cases with the ability of using time and logic in the most efficient way and of them working together.
The Feel-Good Part
The whole drama is filled with a very generous amount of gentle humour. It gives the vibes of a typical Japanese detective show as it carries lots of elements of the same. There is a fair share of suspenseful and jaw-dropping moments in that the fact that it balances out perfectly the plot and acting, which leads it to be a genuine show. The cinematography is done dramatically. So if you are up to some good, challenging, happy yet mysterious elements, then this drama might be the one for you.
The Disappointing Factor
It’s pretty hard to figure out the plot of the drama. There are some scenes are that are shown in theatre that are bizarre. The pairing of both lead characters is quite odd because of the age difference that is shown here. Also, the priorities of the characters do not seem consistent, Tokino can’t seem stick to one thing and keeps switching between being an alibi and repairing the clock. Some moments will leave you to doubtful as things would not seem to make any sense. Even in the end, it’s hard to figure out the mystery and the suspect thing going. The character development was also on said to be a bit slower than it should have been. As it is said to be a thrilling, dark, and mystery show, it just didn’t give that much of a vibe.
Stars Power
Speaking of the actors, they did a phenomenal job in portraying their respective characters. Their hard work can be seen and it also makes this plot also stand out. Whether it’s a male actor or a female actor, none of them overdid it. The dialogue delivery and expressions are delivered with great precision. So, even if not for the plot, for the acting, this drama can get a rating and the audience in its favour.
In-Depth Analysis
The overall unique ability, a kind of superpower, is a fascinating concept to watch. The mutual understanding, a team bonding between both characters is a very satisfying thing to watch. The gentle amount of humour and the cuteness of Ms.Hamabe give a warm feeling. Even after having a fair share of flaws, it was for sure a delightful confection. Also, the plot has not been stretched unnecessarily. So it can be watched at least once for sure.
Overall Opinion
There will be some ridiculous moments in the drama at some points, but they can smoothly be ignored as they pass way too quickly. So, overall considering filming and acting skills that are shown, it’s an enjoyable drama to watch if you want to give it a shot, but it won’t be appealing to the fans of the specific genre.
