Drama digest:

Ahn Eun-young can see things that others are not able to. Eun-young describes these things like jellies, and few of them can manifest into dangerous forms. Ahn eventually is assigned work as a nurse in a school where mysterious events happen. With the support of a colleague, Hong In-Pyo, who has a special power that safeguards him from jellies, Ahn Eun-young attempts to solve the mysterious issues.

The feel-good part

The best part of the show is that it doesn’t get too immersed in the novel concept. The character of Ahn Eun-young is shaped excellently, and it progresses well throughout the series. The jelly special effects are quite good. In fact, the effects are a blend of both cute and scary moments. Besides, the narrative doesn’t get boring at any point.

The disappointing factor

It is not the standard Korean drama but is more of a Netflix series. So for those who are interested in Korean dramas with their usual style of narrative, they would find this bit strange. Sometimes, the audience would tend to feel why this nurse is doing all these unusual things (including dealing with the ever-present toy sword).

In-depth analysis

The story is based on Chung Serang’s novel School Nurse Ahn Eun-young. The drama is a perfect blend of comedy, drama, and fantasy. You have the romance part, too, that cannot be avoided in a K-drama. The later part of the series is highly thought-provoking.

The show can make you both cry and laugh. You will have a changed perception about how Korean TV series are made after watching this show. Once you enjoy the first episode and grasp it well, it will be a smooth ride throughout the series.

Star power

Jung Yu-mi as the whimsical school nurse, does an excellent job in balancing between the eccentric nurse character and one who has innate goodness. Nam Joo-hyuk pulls off his role effortlessly.

Overall opinion

For those who have watched several K-dramas, this quirky one has a novel plotline.
