Drama Digest

The drama is on the theme of saving money. Reiko Kuki is 27 years old, and works as an accountant in a toy company. She lives with her mother, who is very honest, kind and, optimistic. Reiko is a severe kind of person, especially regarding money. For her, every penny is important, and she makes a massive deal about it. This attitude of hers has also impacted her career and helped the company in various ways. The male lead, Saruto Keita, is 33 years old and works in the same company as Reiko. He is also the son of the president, who enjoys all the riches in the world and lives his life the way he wants to. He recklessly spends an excessive amount of money, which has also impacted his relationships. His relationship with his ex-girlfriend fell apart, because of his mindset toward money. His father constantly worries about his habits and wants to teach him the value of money. His father then transferred him to the financial department to teach and train the importance of money. By fate, his trainee ends up being none other than Reiko. They didn’t click off right away due to their differences, but things turned when Keita was asked to make a living on his own. He then visited Reiko, and her mother offered him to live with them as he didn’t have a place to go. Despite their differences, they slowly grew subtle feelings for each other. The drama could not continue due to the sudden demise of the actor who played the role of Saruto Keita.

The Feel-Good Part

The audience loved the drama. There were so many ratings and reviews when it first aired. It is an excellent romantic drama that involves different life lessons that one faces during their lifetime. It also had various comedy scenes that gave us a good laugh. The storyline was unique, and only if it could have been completed, the show would be amazing!

The Disappointing Part

Due to the sudden death, the show had to cut down and air with whatever footage they made.

In-Depth Analysis

The show taught us a lot about money. The importance money has in our lives cannot be replaced and it needs to be checked now and then. The script was terrific, but the episodes had to be cut. The show initially was to have eight episodes, but only four episodes could be filmed and aired. In the last episode, the script had to be changed, which was even more saddening to watch. The show received all kinds of comments, as some dearly missed the late actor, and some found it disturbing to air the series mid-way. It mainly got heart-warming reviews as the show was excellent with good dialogue delivery.

Star Power

Haruma Miura portrayed the role of Saruto Keita. He was a fantastic actor and did some excellent parts like Last Cinderella, Sky of Love, etc. this was his last show before his sudden demise. It was in fact, still filming when his news came up. Keito not being able to show up in the last episode was quite heartbreaking, and they had to end the series right there. Mayu Matsuoka portrayed the role of Reiko Kuki. She did an incredible job in her role as well. Other supporting actors were Hitomi Seira, Shohei Miura, Takomi Kitamura and, Yuki Yagi etc.

Overall Opinion

The drama was enjoyable and exciting to watch. The story and cast are great. If you love romantic comedy dramas, then it is an excellent watch.
