Mami Shirasawa selected to take the preliminary judicial tests at the age of 20 and became a lawyer. Despite her expertise, she has yet to be assigned a case at a prominent law practise. Mami is ready to take on a case that a colleague has dropped. Yoriko Watanuki is her first client, a lady who was sexually abused by the son of a prominent construction company’s owner. The accused has, predictably, denied culpability and attempted to conceal his tracks by leveraging his money and clout, as well as manipulating the victim’s words to fit his needs.
The Feel-Good Part
Mami was the youngest lawyer at the Armstrong Law Firm in the first episode; she is just twenty years old but has managed to obtain a law degree. Mami is excited to take on a case that a colleague has dropped. Yoriko Watanuki, a lady who was sexually raped by the son of a huge construction company’s owner, is her first client. As expected, the accused has denied involvement and attempted to cover his tracks by leveraging his wealth and swaying the victim’s statements to fit his needs. Mami discovers that her client was most likely duped by an online vengeance agency, for which she paid up front but has yet to receive any results.
The Disappointing Factor
Mami teamed up with her new ‘partner’ Kensuke after losing the case to exact revenge on the woman for whom she had lost the case. Mami was sacked from the firm and her lawyer’s licence was revoked when the two were successful.

In an odd turn of events, Yoriko’s assailant is hunted down by a lawyer and a scam artist.

A lawyer and a con artist join forces to avenge Yoriko’s assailant in an improbable turn of events.
