Their life is starting to looks happier and more peaceful but Kazuma has to lie about being single to other people as Hana is supposed to be dead. If he stops lying, then he will be endangering both their families. The series is adapted from the novel “Rupan no Musume” by Dai Yokozeki

The Feel-Good Part

The show deals with all the problems in a way that is light-hearted and entertaining to watch while also being emotional about it, which is why the audience may find it easy to connect. It is the perfect mix of comedy and drama. The show gives space to the audience to introspect and form their own understanding of each character, which is interesting to watch. It also keeps the audience engaged throughout. The show takes on a more serious tone in comparison to season one as it delves with subjects like familial love and reconciliation, which is quite insightful as it gives more depth to each character especially Hana. The morality expressed in the show is also done well as it shows the nuances of crime and consequences. They have focused on how crime is also a grey aspect that may not be completely wrong, which is intriguing to watch.

The Disappointing Factor

The story is pretty cliché and doesn’t stray away from the common plot-points of this genre, which makes it predictable and may make it boring to watch. There is a certain amount of disconnect between the two seasons as the second one is more serious. The first one was more entertaining to watch because of the comedic elements and the blossoming love story. This season is hyper-focuses on drama surrounding heavy subjects, which may be difficult to watch. The season also ends on a cliff-hanger, making room for season three, which is unlikely to happen, making it a disappointing ending.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama is a complete package of drama, romance with sprinkles of humour that make it the perfect show to binge over a couple of weeks. The second season is shorter than the first one.

Star Power

All the performances were excellent. The actors deliver their respective characters with nuance, which made the audience connect with the characters well. The side characters must be appreciated for their ability to hold the series together.

Overall Opinion

The show has quite interesting themes that it explores well. The characters are easy to root for and complex because of their backstories that gives the audience a lot to analyse them with. It’s a good show as it has some memorable moments and is overall quite entertaining.
