Some mysterious deaths from swords are rising rapidly, and no one seems to know. A blade master named Osagami Kakeru has a task to look for and seal the blades of filths called Kegareyaiba. These blades originate from the evil and a dark desired side of human hearts, which turns the people into monsters and corrupts them to kill others. But as Kakeru seals each blade, it affects him as well. Sanjo Mio, a reporter, is also investigating these random deaths that lead her to Kakeru and an unknown world of blade masters.

The Feel-Good Part

the show has a satisfying storyline with brilliantly filmed and choreographed sword fight scenes. The actor also did a great job. All the characters were all carved out perfectly and well-developed throughout the show. The OST of this show is good as well. The story of demons, swords, and sword masters appeals to the audience. The show does a great job at keeping viewers guessing on every episode. The mystery and crime in this show keep it intriguing. They also showcase wonderful friendships and strong female leads that help the storylines greatly. The show has magical elements in realistic ways that will make watchers believe in this world.

The Disappointing Factor

The shows running time was a bit short. The show needed more back stories about the blade, the villain, and sword collectors to make it grander. The impact felt a bit weak in the end because of some inconsistencies. The episodes at the end also felt a bit rushed.

In summary, this show is about a swords master named Osagami Kakeru, looking for the Swords of Filth to seal them up, named Kegareyaiba. These swords are born from a person’s dark soul and turn them into murdering other people. Humans with negative feelings, dark desires, and evil minds create monsters hunting others. Because of the mysterious murders, the city is in unrest. But this mysterious case is covered up by Kakeru and Iostu Sho. An ordinary reporter looking into these murders gets pulled into Kakeru’s world full of unbelievable dark dangers. It is a fight against the evil deep within humans. The sealing of the swords might also affect the master of the sword himself.

Fujii Michihito and Kuwajima Kenji are the directors of this show. The screenwriter of this show is Nakashima Kazuki. Saotome Taichi plays Osagami Kakeru. Endo Yuya plays the role of Iotsu Sho; Nakamura Yurika portrays Ishidome Karen with Fukagawa Mai playing as Mijo Mio.

Overall Opinion

It is a perfect pick for fantasy lovers with mystery and crime to go with it. The fight scenes alone will keep audiences invested in this show. A show packed with fantastic concepts and incredible plotlines with outstanding execution. This show might not appeal to the people looking for a romantic storyline.
