Drama Digest

Kamiya Manaha is a girl lacking self-confidence. Miss Serian Contest, a beauty pageant for high school girls, she had dreamt of entering the contest. Being an ordinary girl, she enters the pageant. She met a handsome, self-absorbed boy, Tachibana and a mysterious transfer student Shimamura. Manage is excited as she is close to her childhood dream.

The Feel-Good Part

The most amazing part is that this show has the potential to carry its theme. This drama is beautifully executed. The storyline and plot is fantastic. The dedication of the female lead towards her dream are a  highlight of the theatre. The mood and direction of this drama is classy and heart-warming.

The Disappointing Factor

The male lead was handled carelessly. His character could have been improved. The character development was not up to the standard, although the story was terrific with excellent execution.

In-Depth Analysis

The story centres around a girl and her struggles when everything falls around her. The live triangle also gave a nice touch to the drama.  A young girl Manaha attended a beauty competition when she was young. The winner of the contest helped her to find her family. Now, when she is in high school, she is shy girl who lacks self-confidence. From childhood, she dreamt of participating in the beauty contest. She git a chance when a beauty contest was held for high school girls. Although the female lead suffers injury on her face, she learned to love and accept herself. The positive fact about Manaha is that she knows that she has to preserve and at times, she will be hurt by the spot on her face. She is noticed, and accepted by the people around her with her scar. This drama visualise that beauty is not only looking beautiful, you should be beautiful from within. With outer beauty, you can win a beauty contest, but that beauty will not stay with you forever. The way both the boys supported the female character was energizing. The drama focuses on personality and state of mind are more important then beauty. The supporting cast had proved to be the strength of the show. It can teach you lot of lessons and how to appreciate and support someone for being their ownselves.

Star Power

The actors did well at their par, and the, emotions can be felt at the audience side also. They were all outstanding. The lead actors did their part effortlessly.

Overall View

The drama conveys beautiful messages in its episodes. It was a good concept that sent positive vibes. The story is also inspiring and confronts the message that we should accept ourselves as we are.
