Drama Digest

The story is about the Sato family. This is a family of three members, daughter Minami, father Toshio, and mother Shinobu. At a glance, their family looks like any other typical family. But in reality, their family has a huge secret which they can’t even share with any other. The father, Toshio is an intelligence worker, mother, Shinobu is a sniper, and their daughter Minami has no blood relation to the couple because she is not even their real daughter rather, she is an appointment as a spy in Japan and is an expert in martial arts.

The Feel-Good Part

The best part of the film is three of them were very efficient in their respective fields and were properly performing their task. This shows their dedication and respect for their occupation. They were also outstanding actors because they were pretending to be a typical family that nobody got to know that they were not a real family but rather spies.

The Disappointing Factor

The disappointing factor is they were acting like a typical family to collect important information about Japan so that they could pass those pieces of information to the organization which has appointed them to get information to attack or cause harm to a nation. Even if, those were not meant for attaching or harming, at least spying and passing one’s information to other is a violation of privacy. Although they were very efficient in their respective fields, the purpose for which they were appointed was malicious.

In-Depth Analysis

The story is about three spies acting like a family to acquire information. The film is a perfect blend of action, thrill, spy, and drama. You can see some family scenarios also as the trio were acting like a family. The later part of the film discloses a secret with a beautiful twist.

Star Power

This film is starred by Nakamura Yurika (Sato Minami), Matobu Sei as her mother (Sato Shinobu) and Koichi Mantaro as Minami’s father (Sato Toshio), Itou Marika (Uesugi Haruka) in lead role, and many others in a supportive role. Sato Minami was an expert in martial arts who was infiltrated to Japan. Every cast played their part very perfectl, especially Sato Minami and her pseudo father Sato Toshio. But still, I think the role of her mother, Sato Shinobu, should have been a little more vital.

Overall Opinion

For those who have watched many Japanese movies, this thriller movie has a good plot. This movie is highly recommendable to all those who love spy movies.
