Watch the series and solve the mystery along with the characters.

The Feel-Good Part

The visuals of the characters are impressive despite the fact that the personality of most characters is simple. The music is catchy and unforgettable, and the movements of the characters are smooth and realistic. The quirky characters are amusing to watch and each has a special moment. The mystery, humor and characters raise the overall amount entertainment the show provides. The animation is extraordinary; the final episode that includes the battle is pleasing to the eyes.

The Disappointing Factor

The fact that the characters are too simple-minded is disappointing. By the end of the series, a lot of questions remain veiled and in the hope of attaining answers, one has to refer to the next season.

In-Depth Analysis

White Cat Legends focuses on the period of the Tang Dynasty after the Li clan rebellion ended and the resulting mass imprisonment. Chen Shi is poor and therefore ends up accepting the job offer without much reflection. In fact, he is terrified of the peculiar creature he is serving, but the desperate need for money keeps him at his job. Certain power shifts in the Tang Empire lead to the freeing of the man-cat from imprisonment. He works as the senior official of the court. As the story progresses, the viewers are given insights into the stories of separate characters, gradually revealing how the man-cat came to be. The story also reveals the long-lost brother of Chen Shi.

Star Power

The voice acting is remarkable and fit perfectly with the respective characters. The animation is top-notch, leaving no room for harsh criticism; a lot of attention has been paid to the small details, for example, the intellectual characters have been given realistic eyes, meanwhile, all others have been given beady, cartoonish eyes.
