The story centers around the year 2005 where the main characters – the youngsters are on a summer break. They come from broken and poor families with absent parents. They grew up lacking love, attention and even the basic necessities. Resulting in childhood trauma. The tragedy starts when they accidentally witness a person murdering his in-laws by pushing them off a cliff. The murderer turns out to be none other than the substitute math teacher for the kids. The plot increases when kids get trapped in a blackmailing plot.

The Feel-Good Part

The suspense in the entire series kept the audience at the edge of their seats. The drama also showcases and deals with many issues of modern China. It shows how the upbringing of a child affects its responsibilities, morals and character. Besides this, the harsh realities shown in the drama made the Chinese audience be very relatable.

The Disappointing Part

It was a very dark-themed and triggering drama. Though the audience related to it, there were still some people who found it difficult to watch it. The drama deals with the impact of the actions of parents leading their children to become a nuisance.

The drama raised questions regarding who actually were the ‘Bad Kids’ – the parents who transformed their kids into a nuisance or the kids who had nothing but to accept their fate and survive.
