Drama Digest:

Liu Shi Lan is a university student who wants to become a doctor. After graduating, she becomes a doctor in the ER department. But she didn’t continue to be an ER specialist to take care of her mother.  She gives up on her dream and became a doctor in the countryside. Her mother is a village doctor who gets diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. The story then shows how this impacts the lives of two and the people around them.

The Feel-Good Part:

The show beautifully portrayed the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Their relationship is so pure and touching. The story of them is so natural and heartfelt. When the mother had Alzheimer’s and was getting worse, the settings made the audience cry. The scenes are made with this intention. The story’s progression is felt very natural. The relationship between the mother-daughter and the male lead is also perfect in this show. The romance between the lead characters is lighthearted. The growth of their relationship is slow-paced, but that gives people a warm feeling. The music is perfect for these dramas. These are ear-catching and so good to hear again and again. There are no toxic people in this show and Janice Wu as the female lead is pretty cute.

The Disappointing Factor:

The cinematography could have been better. There is a lot of space to detail the male character. The romance between the main leads should have been more.

In-Depth Analysis:

The show is pretty heartwarming. The relations touch your soul while watching it.

Star Power:

Sa Ri Na, the mother, did an outstanding performance. She is perfect as a patient of Alzheimer’s, who also forgets her daughter sometimes.  Janice Wu, as usual, is ideal for her role. She portrayed every emotion beautifully. She proves that she is a versatile actor. The relationship between the mother-daughter feels so real thanks to their excellent acting. Leon Zhan is as good as always.

Overall Opinion:

The emotional scenes between Janice Wu and Sa Ri Na are very touching. Some scenes made the audience tear up. The positivity and lighthearted characteristics of Leon Zhan enhance the beauty of the show. At the end of it, this was a tough show based on a true story. This drama entertains the audience thoroughly. It is a mini-series with only eight episodes which is an easy watch. If you want to watch a short drama with a good plot, you can try it.
