Drama Digest
My Dearest Boss is a short and sweet Chinese web series about Yu Xing Chui and how one day luck favours her and changes her life by 180 degrees. One fine day, Yu while working received a mysterious call which informs her that she will be inheriting a ten-million-dollar estate. It only gets better or maybe worse when she finds out who her neighbour is.
The Feel-Good Part
The series has great visuals and aesthetics. The female lead is very cute as well. The romance between the leads starts as hate which gradually makes way for love, which is most exciting. Not only love but friendships and the complicated relationships between family members are shown as well. The cherry on the cake is the length of the series. Since it is very short, one can watch it without any guilt and get a healthy dose of sweetness as well. The side characters are hilarious and mysterious as well.
The Disappointing Factor
There are times when the series skids off from the main plot and focuses on a few unnecessary scenes. The story is dragged forcibly at places where it could have been cut short. The acting of the cast is questionable at some moments and looks forced and stiff. It may feel boring and does not make much of an impression as a series.

Yu Xing Chui has always been unlucky, and her life is full of misfortunes. However, one day suddenly she inherits her aunt’s ten-million-dollar house. She is giddy and enjoys her first stay at the mansion until she sleepwalks and enters wrong house. It turns out her neighbour is none other than her new boss, Liu Yuan An. How does their relationship proceed? Do they end up on good terms or does any problem arise in their love life? And why did Yu Xing Chui inherit her aunt’s estate? These answers will be clear when you watch the series.
Star Power
Guo Jia Nan plays the role of Liu Yu An and Gong Fang Ni is cast as Yu Xing Chui. Chen Si Qi and Zhou Qian Xiao are the supporting cast while Tian Ling has a guest appearance.
Overall Opinion
When you have less than two hours to idle away and are yearning for some light-hearted romance, then this fluffy romance might be just the right pick for you.
