Drama Digest
The Urban Love Story of a Wonder Woman and a Diamond Explorer Tong Zhen Unintentionally falling from a cliff, the young guy who makes his income by searching for rare jewels discovers a location underneath it where a primitive tribe has made their home. Xing Yue rescues Gao Zhen. He is from the female tribal head’s family because she wants him to be her man. Gao Zhen sought the precious jewels of the tribe. He poses as Xing Yue’s husband. After acquiring the stones, he runs back to the city, and Xing Yue pursues him to primarily recover her diamonds and him, which sparks several adventures.
The Feel-Good Part
The chemistry between the male and female leads makes the show quite enjoyable. The show is rich in comedy and gives you something to laugh at. The characters’ expressions are unique and to the point, which adds richness to the whole plot.
The Disappointing Factor
The only disappointment in the whole drama was that the story was unnecessarily dragged out, which made it a task to complete the drama series. The female and male leads were, at times, annoying to watch along with the story, which made it worse in between episodes of the drama series.
In-Depth Analysis
Gao Zhen He (Ren You Lun), a contemporary explorer and adventurer, makes his fortune by exploring the world in quest of the rarest and most valuable gems and treasures. Zhen He is a specialist in expensive gemstones and a cunning businessman who would do anything to get his hands on the jewels that will sell for the most money. Zhen He has overcome countless threats and dangers without losing his composure. He never backs down from a task. However, his good fortune can only continue for so long. Zhen is on one of his adventures when he has a mishap that sends him crashing down a cliff. He’s in a terrible spot right now. Lost, alone, and hurt, Zhen He is in dire need of help, but his odds of surviving are limited because he is cut off from the outside world. He is fortunate to have landed close to a primitive tribal group, whose chief, Xing Yue (Zhang Ya Qin), is a powerful lady who offers to find him and take care of him until he recovers. There is only one condition: he must consent to marry her. Zhen is aware that his tribe is in possession of one of the world’s rarest stones. He accepts Xing Yue’s suggestion to be married in order to get the diamonds. Zhen held the winning diamonds in his hands. He takes off, knowing that his return to the large metropolis will be prosperous. However, Xing Yue isn’t giving him up that easily. Xing Yue is determined to find him and recover what is rightfully hers, but are the jewels really what she is after?
Star Power
Zhang Ya Qin, who plays Xing Yue or Sulixi, and Ren You Lun, who plays Gao Zhen He or Gao Heshan, perform wonderfully and give their best performances without taking their characters overboard.
Overall Opinion
This drama is the perfect blend of romance, comedy, and drama and, therefore could be next on your watchlist.
