The Feel-Good Part

Burning has an excellent cast, with each of them having its good and bad sides. The protagonist, Gao Feng character develops throughout all episodes. Burning has remarkable dialogue sequences, which is one of the main highlights of this murder mystery. Despite predictable screenwriting, some cliffhangers made the audience pound on their seats.

The Disappointing Part

Even though the theme of Burning is tricky, it fails to grab people’s attention in its first half. Some of the scenes are predictable, which fails to grasp the audience.

In-Depth Analysis

The story of this series is in-depth and established. However, such plots are not new to the audience. This visual-oriented drama fulfills the aesthetics of a murder mystery show. There are 51 episodes each of 45 minutes of run time. The series has only a single season with no prequel or anticipated sequel.

Star Power

The character of Zao Feng gained instant popularity amongst the female fans and proved Jing Chao as a lady’s heartthrob.

Overall Opinion

The story is quite precise, and each character gets enough screen time. As of now, the production team of Burning did not provide subtitles of different languages, which might be a bummer.
