The story is set in the Yongzhen era in the Yuan year. In the difficult times, Yu- Xing and her sister were separated while on the run from rebels. Yu Xing hopes to find the truth behind her family’s massacre enters a school for imperial doctors. Cai hung enters the palace and serves as a concubine.

 The feel-good part

This drama was visually appealing. The sets, costumes, and plot were really good. The ending reflected the nature of romance. The main leads remain loyal till the end. The climax practically felt excellent.

 The disappointing factor

The last episode felt rushed and sudden. It could have done better with the quality. This acting consists of over one Romeo – Juliet.

In-depth analysis

The love story of court enemies is set in the era of Yongzhen. In a time of chaos, Yu Xing and her sister were insulated. When he came to know that her sister has arrived at the palace, she determined to follow suit as a chef trainee. Her culinary skills affected the emperor and she was nurtured. During the empress Dowager’s funeral, she accidentally breached tobacco. As outcomes have to be faced she was sent to the countryside to do labor. There she picked up medical skills and she assisted the people undergoing the pandemic.

Star power

The cast did a good job whether it was the supporting cast or the main leads. The female leads managed to protect themselves.

Overall view

The love story of court enemies is a nice drama with a classical approach and being victories in it.
