The Feel-Good Part

The storyline was good. The visuals, music, and costumes were great. The martial arts presentation was also good. The fighting scenes were shit nicely.

The Disappointing Factor

The conclusion was disappointing. The script was poor. The ending was made terrible.

In-Depth Analysis

Jianghu was controlled by Ring Jingfeng, master of the sinister dragon roar city. Rong Hua and Nalan Yue uncover the secrets of Jingfeng’a dark power and the proceeding blood feud between their families. An evil dictator, a revenge plot, and a love story are much-used wuxia tropes. These typical clichés are used differently and have an enjoyable approach. The action scene are exciting and done in a great manner. The story is simple to follow. The romance was not suitably developed. They were mature, trusting, and with almost zero misunderstandings. The way the Xueman triangle is solved is fascinating to watch. Xuanye and Liluli’s romantic part was convincing. The drama explored revenge and how they wanted to free the next generations from this cycle of revenge. They reasonably attempted dark humor.

Star Power

The acting was top tier by the cast. Ren Jia Lun, Zhang Hui Wen, Li Yi Tong, and Terry Guo flawlessly fit the roles. Supporting actors were not up to the level but were watchable. The characters were fabulous and appropriately dimensioned.

Overall Opinion

The drama is decent to watch, being a historical drama. The drama taught that intergenerational revenge could be painful.
