Drama Digest
Jin Qian aim was to became civil employe but failed continously. Feeling disappointed, she needs to utilize the messed-up time machine her companion made to swindle. She is masked as a man and turns into a constable at Kai Feng Manor, and goes under the lead of the prestigious Bao Qingtian. She subsequently starts her profession as a common representative in the Northern Song Dynasty, where she meets numerous acclaimed authentic figures, and the last manager Prince Xiang Yang.
The Feel-Good Part
The drama is a fine mix of comedy and mystery. If you like good old slapstick humor, this is your kind of drama. The history part of the drama also seems genuine for viewers interested in the same.

The acting, the dialogues, and the plain use of throw-in-your-face humor are some things that decrease the value of a drama. The show’s plot seems interesting, but the execution is very poor. It seems like the director wants to spoon-feed the audience everything he is doing or plans on doing.

The drama seems like a mix of old and modern styles. Although it is based on the concept of time travel, still the characters do not change. They remain either from the olden times or from modern times. But the show changes the humor and the dialogue of the characters as per the times like they knew how to talk in a particular era. This seems confusing. Also, the acting could have been better. Half of the time, the actors are confused about what kind of expressions they should portray. The plot progression is too slow and draggy. The storyline is lost in romance and jokes.
Star Power
To be honest, there is no power of the stars in this drama. Chen Jian Min needs to work on her acting. The emotions on her face are missing the timings. The same goes for Liu Shu Yan as well. Liu Tain Yao is passable as Ding Zhao Hui. Overall the acting is not as good as one would expect.

Crazy stunts that look silly, too in face humor, bad acting, and very poor plot progression are the factors that killed the show. However, the storyline is interesting and there lies hope in the historical part yet. For the history drama fans, the reviewer would like to mention that if you can ignore the above-mentioned parts, you might be able to watch the drama. Overall, if you are really free, love historical dramas, and have nothing else to watch, you can consider watching Intern Female Constable. However, kindly look if you can find something else before deciding to watch this one.
