Drama Digest

The drama follows the rising fights and casualties that follow when Na Na who wants to enter the Taiping Street to open a tattoo parlor there. The mysterious place called Taiping Street has even more mysterious and dangerous people living there which can make it difficult for Na Na to continue making a living there. Na Na has no idea what to do as she is in such a troubling place and position. She is overwhelmed by the people and what she is experiencing on a daily basis.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is a refreshing take on how scary some neighborhoods can be. One such example is the Taiping Street, which is as scary and mysterious as it sounds and looks. Inside it reside several mysterious and equally dangerous people. However, this doesn’t stop Nana. She has made up her mind to open a tattoo parlor there regardless of how the neighborhood appears to be.

The Disappointing Factor

Even though the show provides a refreshing plot, it does not maintain the amount of enjoyment you gain as it considerably falls off in the later episodes. Also, the pace of the starting episodes in picking up with the main plot of the story really tests the patience of the viewers and can be troubling and might make viewers lose interest in watching it till the end.

In-Depth Analysis

Inside, the secretive Taiping Street has always had its own set of regulations. These regulations are set in order to uphold the hierarchy of power and advantage that exists among the residents and to maintain order and peace. Although it appears tranquil from the outside, the interior is completely gloomy. The air of the street feels heavy, and many find this street unwelcoming. However, Na Na has already made up her mind to start her business there. And it all begins with Na Na, who wants to open a tattoo parlor on this street. Then there are casualties, vendettas, faster heartbeats, blood leaking, and tears starting to pour. Na Na is caught in all of this and has no idea what she can do.

Star Power

Kenny Wong plays Yip Goi Tin, Chrissie Chau plays Na Na/ Cheung Ling and both of them do a wonderful job in carrying the show as the main roles/protagonists of the drama. Elaine Ng as Pak Mui/Mut Lei, Alex Lam as Food Dragon/Hui Zi Lung, Alan Luk as Wi-Fi/Gao Shing and the other supporting roles do perform good and should be appreciated.

Overall Opinion

The drama should only be taken up by those viewers who have the patience for the suspense, action and thrill to kick in might take a few episodes at maximum and then it will definitely feel worth your time.
