Drama Digest –

Gao Han’s life completely changes when a toddler suddenly comes to stay with him. His ex-girlfriend’s death in a car accident leads his son to stay with him. His two other tenants, Wang Dong Yang and Yu Bo suddenly find themselves as the son’s nanny, doing all the responsibility for the child. Shanshan, the child’s aunt, falls in love with Han but Yo Bo is already in love with her. Who will she choose, her nephew or her love?

The Feel-Good Part –

The storylines are unique and new. The norm that only women can take care of children is broken in this series and that makes it impressive and impactful. The scenes when Shanshan is shocked to see all the men are taking care of the child is worth watching. Gao Han is a responsible father to the child even though he is not his actual father. This series shows how the parent taking good care is better than the one who gives birth to the child.

The Disappointing Factor –

The show is very frustrating and relentlessly dull. The cast and characters are awful, and the director chose the worst scenarios, and scenes to showcase the storyline. The acting is also not impressive enough and it ruins the plot’s seriousness. All they do is tell lies to each other and never know why. They also lack basic financial skills and spend money with no sense until they take out loans. The slapstick romantic comedy with no sense of good scenarios is not impactful.

In-Depth Analysis –

This series resonated with most Chinese dramas of being lighthearted comedy initially then transitioning to melodrama serious scenarios. This extremely long series takes its time to show all the scenes and strategies related to the main lead and the child, who is being taken care of by his mother’s ex-boyfriend. Some things were annoying and disturbing in the series, but overall this series is good. As the show is dreadfully long, it gets difficult for the viewer to find connection through every scene, so that is one of the biggest disappointing points of the show.

Star Power –

An apologetic and self-effacing person, he cares for everyone. He is kind, generous and patient for everything, but for a reason. He feels guilty and scared for the divorce trial he is going through and sad for losing his wife and his daughter. There are times when he needs someone’s help, even himself but he doesn’t do it. He has the worst luck with no good timings of things. Shanshan, the female lead, is always involved in business and legal proceedings and has no common sense at all for reading and understanding people.

Overall Opinion –

A unique story with a different take on the story is recommended watching.
