Drama Digest

Pang Linglong, the waiter of a hot pot restaurant, is a fan of Gongdou drama, dismissing all kinds of clichéd plots. Suddenly, one day, she time traveled and entered the palace. The main cast includes Zeng Li Yao and Liu Zhi Wei. This drama is adapted from Feihua’s novel “Swordsman,” narrating the fateful reunion of twin brothers Cheng Ruoyu and Qiu Yanzhi. They are on opposite sides, involved in court with “young emperor” Li Yan and King Guang, and become legends

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is engaging even without numerous pointless narrative twists. The drama has elements of imagination, history, and romance. The general plot, which is well-written, advances steadily. You can still enjoy this movie even if you don’t understand Chinese.

The Disappointing Factor

It gets off to a solid start, but it could have been stronger. As a result, this may appear strange to those who appreciate Chinese dramas with their traditional narrative style.

In-Depth Analysis

Dream Back To Chang’an differs little from other Chinese dramas. The plot is original and refreshing. However, there are only a few pleasant moments during the story. The plot combines both humorous and tragic elements.

Star Power

The principal actors are superb in their roles. From the supporting cast to the main characters, the performances in the film are all superb.

Overall Opinion

This particular one has a distinctive storyline even for viewers of many other such dramas.
