Drama Digest

The three main protagonists, Qiao Feng, a leader of the beggar clan, Duan Yu, a Prince of Dali and Xu Zhu, a Shaolin Monk. They embark on a journey of heroism and adventure, which all brings them to a wonderful transformation they never thought they were going to encounter. Qiao Feng is a leader of the beggar clan, where everyone looks to him as a leader, but some people consider him a traitor for being accused of being a descendant of the Khitan dynasty. He tries his best to clear his name, and classify the claims now. Duan Yu is a young prince of Dali, where he loves peace and tranquillity, but everyone hates that and he learns martial arts. Xu Zhu is a powerful martial artist and he is kind-hearted.

The Feel-Good Part

They have showcased real emotions on the stage, which speaks to the viewers the most. The audience has perceived this drama as unconventional and different from the rest. While the other dramas mainly glorify how amazing the making of a successful journey is and finding love is, having good looks and good morals simultaneously, this series doesn’t take that path. It takes instead a lonely way of showcasing the struggle made to find meaningful relationships and the painful process of regaining and retaining them. The perseverance shown by the main characters in working for their mission regardless of anything is applaudable.

The Disappointing Factor

Despite being an inspiring story, the story is not new enough to excite the audience. Such similar stories had already been made and had been a success and a cult classic for all. This is a remake of a successful story, and that takes away the charm of such a series. It has a typical old feel which is not suitable for the audience of this timeline. The story isn’t standing out of the crowd and it is not spectacular. It doesn’t create much suspense to watch the next episode. The CGI is also poorly made and not up to the mark.

In-Depth Analysis

The story unfolded piece by piece with each episode, and that’s the beauty of this series. It keeps on getting better and better. The romantic and bromance segment is better, with good flashbacks showing their love after seperating the couple living in the real world. This is one of the beautiful stories made in a drama. The series is straightforward. It is already established that the love would blossom between the two main characters, but the climax spoke for itself. It was self-explanatory and rewarding to watch until the very end.

Star Power

A series very similar to many popular series, this show is heartwarming. The graphics and visuals for the show are well made. The acting is applaudable, and the music is well-executed. The characters are adorable with funny dialogues and solid acting. The overall crux of the story is very fun and amazing to watch, with the seriousness kept alive in their respective positions. Characters like Duan Yu and his love complications shone in such a framework, as he has been glorified as being one the “hero” of the series, and it is fun and ironic to watch. The number of ways he chooses to protect himself is impressive, and it shows how calculative he is.

Overall Opinion

It has been a revolutionary show to watch shot during the pandemic. It is recommended to boost your spirits during these times.
