Inseki Kazoku is (隕石家族) is a Japanese-origin drama series that hit the theater screens from the 11th of April, 2020, to the 30th of May, 2020. This creative production remains finished under the direction of Takemura Kentaro and written for the screen by Eriko Komatsu. The story revolves around Kadokura Kumiko, who decides to leave her family behind when the meteorite disaster is impending. The running time stretches over fifty-five minutes, with an impressive total of eight episodes.

The Feel-Good Part

One of the first things one can look forward to is the setting, promising for a never been before the created scenario. The plot structure remains refreshing for the fans. If this particular season remained inadequate for you, one could catch its sequel, Cold Game, broadcasted from June to July 2021. The science fiction genre highlighted new perspectives, delighting the fans to the fullest.

The Disappointing Factor

Fans have expressed their severe disappointment with the lack of tasteful comedy in the series. The plotline seems a little stretched to attract viewers, though it works in the opposite direction. Moreover, although the talks of a meteor shower are there, it never happens in actuality.

In-Depth Analysis

The story opens with Kadokura Kumiko, who lives with a family of many members. It includes her husband and her two daughters. One day, when the headline regarding an apocalypse comes out on the television screens, everything dives into utter chaos. Kumiko actively decides to come clean to her beloved family, saying she wishes to elope with another man she loves. In her heart, there kindles deep affection and a burning desire for another individual, which throws the family into a shocking state. With only six months left for the meteorites to hit, the Kadokura does not take this news well.

Inseki Kazoku is the medicine for the viewers if you are a lover of eccentric television shows with intense comedic lines. The twists and turns shall leave the audience with huge setbacks and laughter.
