Drama Digest

In Thailand, Bao Seed is a part of the drug trade. He is shocked to learn that Ah Deng has passed away and swears to exact revenge because he does not know where she is. Sit Ka Keung, alias Boa Seed, is still employed by the Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB) of the Hong Kong Police. After being released from prison, Cheuk Hoi opens a coffee shop, but despite his best efforts, trouble follows him. Cheuk is being looked into by CIB Chief Inspector Cheung Kei Gee, who believes that he has joined the triad. The Security Bureau created a new intelligence division called the Security Intelligence Agency (SIA). SIA’s lead investigator Wai Chok Wing, also known as Ngai Tak Lai, keeps tabs on Bao Seed. In reality, he has an ulterior motive.

The Feel-Good Part

Besides the main plot, numerous intriguing subplots in the drama will keep you interested. Almost all the characters have different paths, such as romance, friendship, and so on, making this drama stand out from the previous two seasons.

The Disappointing Factor

Some sections were so unnecessary that there should have only been 30 episodes, not 37. They were extending things purposefully with some characters, which are irrelevant in any way, shape, or form.

In-Depth Analysis

This drama was the sequel to Line Walker and Line Walker: The Prelude. This season tied together the previous two installments by combining characters from both and having them work together on different cases. This drama may feel complicated because it has so many storylines and plots. It does provide more background information about what transpired between the timelines of Line Walker 2 and Line Walker 1. Most of the storyline moves smoothly from one side story to the next without any awkward transitions, eventually tying everything together with the main plot. The plot is still quite captivating and deserves your complete attention, even though it does not manage to deliver as many cliffhangers or intense moments as the first series. The disrupted flow of the plot was because of adding many new characters and numerous extra scenes. The conclusion, however, felt more logical and worthy of binge-watching once they cut out all the minor characters and concentrated on the few important ones. They paid close attention to the stories of the main characters as well. Every character had a moment to shine while portraying their unique stories in the drama. So, there was considerable growth with each character in the show. The cliffhanger ending shows what you can expect for season four of Line Walker.

Star Power

The comeback of Raymond Lam (Sit Ka Keung/Boa Seed) is one of the things viewers were looking forward to in the show. He did not disappoint with his skills and delivered a stunning performance. Kenneth Ma (Wai Chok Wing/Ngai Tak Lai) supplied a superb performance as the series’ main antagonist. He conveys the right emotions with his eyes and face.

Overall Opinion

This action-packed show has many captivating stories that will keep you hooked till the end. Highly recommend watching this drama after watching the first two seasons to make sense of this drama.
