Drama Digest –
Su Xiao never dreamt of a life worth anything more than ordinary. She was a flower seller and had never dreamt more than that. Her life takes a complete turn due to an accidental mixup which lands her into a contract with Gu Yan Xi, a young descendant of the famous Gu family. She is now obligated to live as Gu Yan Xi’s sister. She often falls into trouble due to Yan Xi’s meaningless actions, and finds it challenging to keep up until his brother, Zi Qian, takes care of her and protects her. She develops a liking for him. They end up loving each other and then go into a relationship, which they never expected to be in.
The Feel-Good Part –
There are many star moments and factors in the story. The rapport of the two main leads is impressive and it holds the story until the very end. The story gets messy, but the chemistry keeps it watchable. The character selection for this series is also appropriate for the actor playing. The grandmother of the series is also an essential character of the story, and she starts the romantic relationship between the main leads. Her scenes with the main lead are interesting. The female lead is also applaudable with nice acting skills and nice expressions.
The Disappointing Factor –
The drama feels excessively dragging and unnecessary after the initial 20 episodes. The cringe moments hit in the later episodes and it becomes difficult to keep up with it. The closure provided to the story is not satisfactory enough to satisfy the enormous time given to the series. The story is also not well-executed with the fact that the female lead is a part of the family of the male lead even before they met and fell in love. The drama is only worth the chemistry between them.
In-Depth Analysis –
There are not many surprises and weird plot twists in the series. The couple has good chemistry and makes up to a good looking and cute couple. It has a decent plot with not much excitement. Each episode is quick and well written. There are no confusing scenes and each scene is captivating to the story. The series is straightforward. It is already established that the love would blossom between the main characters, but the climax spoke for itself. It was self-explanatory and rewarding to watch until the very end. The show also showcases the traditional Chinese household, another charm to the series.
Star Power –
Both the main leads complement each other. Both of them have good understanding and trust for each other, and their friendship can be the epitome for the audience. It pushes the viewers to believe and handle their relationships and friendships nicely. She is given great company by Zi Qian, who becomes her better half who is overall a good person. He always wants the best for her, he truly loves her and is the best match for her. The female lead is also getting better with the progression of the series, both in terms of acting and character development. It is rare for such a lovely portrayal of acting in Chinese drama.
Overall Opinion –
A variety show with a variety of impressive scenes. It is a recommended watch.
