Drama Digest

Wei Yi Chen, a talented young man, unintentionally loses his powers, and the book that contained his trade secrets also vanishes.

Wei Yi Chen encounters a group of companions who are likewise bestowed with powers while seeking the truth.

The Feel-Good Part

You’ll enjoy some of the comedic parts, but the plot wasn’t there altogether. Although it felt woefully underfunded, it had potential.

It’s unexpected, to be honest, but the music was calming and pleasant. There is the amusingly pseudo-serious unraveling of unusual malevolent happenings and strange supernatural abilities. Even if the genre is comedy, the notion of a person with magical powers who allegedly acquired them after touching an alien stone and unintentionally imparted most of those abilities to others can be intriguing.

The Disappointing Factor

The storyline was confusing, and Yibo only appears for ten minutes before the rest is a body double shot using clever camera angles. It had a pretty fantastic beginning but faded to the worst, most unclear conclusion. the purpose of mentioning teleportation, Mr. Ma. It seemed like his character ate too much crucial drama screen time because he was just too stupid or ridiculous. There may have been a better finish with the available screen time.

In-Depth Analysis

With everyone from Linzhou University, Wei Yi Chen established a partnership. The investigation led to the discovery that Jiang Dou Dou has a secret, strange power. The battle was about to begin when Dr. Sun Ming finally emerged from the shadows, planned, and arrested Wei Yi Chen and many others to claim the superpowers as his own. This occurred just as Wei Yi Chen had discovered a way to regain control of his powers.

Star Power

All of the performers did a decent job; none of them had anything like facial paralysis. Wei Yichen was intended to be a tremendously complex character, and he could be, but the lackluster plot squandered all acting potential. The fact that Wang Yibo Wei Yi Chen, the film’s literal central character, was replaced with a body double in several keys and supporting sequences was amusing and also too blatant.

Overall Opinion

The show’s first half, which I think is superior to the second, included a lot of humorous moments. Although the drama’s first act was dubious, the entire experience left me feeling angry and frustrated. If you haven’t seen Season 1, don’t watch this because Season 2 begins in the middle of nowhere.
