Article: Top Ten Feel Good K-Dramas

In this list, we discuss some of the best K-dramas to watch when you want to feel good and fuzzy. After watching heavy K-dramas like The Worst of Evil or The Glory, or after a long day, the best way to destress is to watch K-dramas like these.

1. Reply 1988 

In this series, we follow our five protagonists, Duk-Sun, Dong-Ryong, Jung-Hwan, Sun-Woo, and Taek. They are high school students. They have all grown up together and have been raised together. They spend their days together and depend on each other for support and friendship. Their families all have their issues and problems however despite all this they depend on each other for comfort and support.

2. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo

In this series, we follow Kim Bok-Joo who is a bright and very promising female weightlifter. She is in college and works hard to become a well-known weightlifter. She has close friends on the weightlifting team. We also have Jung Joon-Hyung, another athlete in college who is a swimmer. One day, both Kim Bok-Joo and Jung Joon-Hyung run into each other on campus. Their relationship starts and blossoms.

3. Mr. Queen

In this series, we follow Jang Bong-Hwan, our protagonist, who is a renowned chef at the Blue House in modern-day South Korea. However, due to an event, his soul gets transferred into the body of a queen named Kim So-Yong. She was the wife of King Cheoljong during the Josen period. This series is very comedic and light-hearted. It’s a fantastic watch.

4. Extraordinary Attorney Woo

In this series, we follow our protagonist, Woo Young-Woo. She is a skilled attorney who is on the autistic spectrum. She has a difficult time at her job and her daily life due to her autism. Despite this, she is an intelligent woman who works hard at her job. We see her as she charms the people around her, and we see how she grows and develops as a lawyer and a person.

5. Hospital Playlist

In this series, we follow the lives and relationships of the doctors and the nurses at a hospital in South Korea. Our main protagonists are Lee Ik-Jun, Chae Song-Hwa, Kim Jun-Wan, Ahn Jeong-won, and Kim Dae-Myung. They are all doctors working together at the hospital and before they became doctors, they were all friends who went to the same medical university. We follow their lives and their relationship to others and each other.

6. Fight For My Way

In this series, we follow the lives of Ko Dong-Man and Choi-Ae Ra. They are childhood friend who grew up alongside each other. Choi-Ae Ra is a secretary who works an ordinary desk job at a department store. She dreams of becoming an announcer. Meanwhile, Ko Dong-Man is a taekwondo athlete. He desires to have the UFC title.

7. A Love So Beautiful 

In this series we follow Shin Sol-I who is a student in high school. She has a crush on her classmate and childhood friend, Cha-Heon. They have been friends for a long time and grew up together. Shin Sol tries to confess to Cha-Heon however things don’t go as planned.

8. Mystic Pop-Up Bar

In this series, we follow Wol-Ju, who runs an unusual bar called the Ssanggab Cart Bar. This bar is on the rooftop of a building. The bar is mysterious and is often visited by not only ordinary people but also spirits. When they see the bar, they eat and drink with Wol and each other. While eating and drinking, they talk about their lives and their wounds.

9. Welcome To Waiki

In this series, we follow the lives of three friends and roommates, Kang Dong-Goo, Cheon Joon-Ki, and Bong-Doo Sik. These friends all run a Waikiki guest house for tourists in Itaewon, South Korea. Kand Don-Goo aspires to become a well-known director, Cheon Joo-Ki desires to become a well-respected and famous actor, and Bong-Doo Sik is a writer. Together, they try to manage their careers as well as their guesthouse. Someday, after a party at the guesthouse, all three men wake up to discover a lost baby in their house.

10. Crash Course In Romance

In this series, we follow Nam Haeng-Seon, a mother who runs a food store. She is a bright and cheerful person who spends her days looking after her shop and looking after her brother and her daughter. She used to be a national athlete however due to unforeseen circumstances she was forced to quit and look after her shop. One day, she encounters Choi Chi-Yeol, a celebrated instructor who is arrogant and cold. We see how their relationship grows, and they slowly fall in love.
