Antagonists are equally important main characters in any show or movie, like the protagonists/heroes. In anime, mostly action/adventure animes, every character has powers. But the villains and their powers/abilities are so well-developed and dangerous that leads the series more interesting. Some villains have unique personalities designed with humor and looks, especially sad backstories. Hence they tend to impress the audience and overtake the series' lead character in popularity. Here are ten out of the many lovable villains listed down.

1. Ryomen Sukuna

The main antagonist of the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen, Ryomen Sukuna, is cruel, cold-hearted, self-centered, and wicked. He is likely the most likable villain on the program because despite holding the title of King of Curses, he hasn't done anything particularly awful. His appearance is creative yet weird, with four arms and two faces, unique markings on his forehead, nose, cheeks, and torso, two dotted circles on his arm, curves on his chest, etc.

2. Light Yagami

Light is the main protagonist but also the only villain in the series. He acquires a magic notebook that gives him the ability/power to kill anyone and uses it to exact revenge on criminals. Light considers himself intelligent but also a God passing judgment when he turns furious and uses all his power. Despite being the main character, Light is a cunning antagonist.

3. Hisoka Morow

Hisoka is undoubtedly strange, but he makes for a character with weird colorful makeup on his face. He is one of the primary antagonists in the anime/manga series Hunter x Hunter. Hisoka has never committed harm to another person for fun but has undoubtedly killed people who he felt weren't worth his time or attention. He has objectives to battle powerful enemies as he likes to fight.

4. Askeladd 

Askeladd, the antagonist of the Vinland Saga, is a cunning, charming, manipulative man, a strong combatant, and a great swordsman. He is patient, which makes him particularly dangerous as he waits for the right opportunity and time to strike. He is a blonde muscular character with a mustache and bread, liked by many fans.

5. Meruem 

In the anime/manga series Hunter Hunter, Meruem,  the King of the Chimera Ants (a dangerous insect species), serves as the primary antagonist of the Chimera Ant arc. Meruem is bright, intelligent, and has outstanding physical strength, whereas his most powerful Nen (the power system in Hunter x Hunter) ability is called Aura Synthesis. He gets love for the relationship and bonding he creates in the series.

6. Dio Brando

Dio is an antagonist with little morality and an obsessive desire for power, which results in him invading the Joestar family and sacrificing his humanity to gain dominance. Dio's influence gained him a large following of followers after turning into a vampire and controlling Stand. He is the man behind several major series events. H

7. Griffith

Griffith is psychopathic, narcissistic, cunning, violent, and obsessive. He can be arrogant, jealous, or impulsive, which adds to his creepiness and appeal as a villain who will do anything to realize his goals. Griffith uses his knowledge of the inner workings of the human psyche to his advantage to influence others for his benefit. Even his villain side has won hearts with his charismatic instance.

8. Uchiha Itachi

One of the most well-known antagonists in Naruto is Itachi. He is Naruto's one of the coolest, most intelligent, and most powerful villains. He was prepared to risk his life to defend the community and his brother's safety, make sacrifices, portray himself as a monster, and live in public shame.

9. Sosuke Aizen

Sosuke Aizen, the main antagonist of the first part of Bleach, possesses extraordinary speed, strength, and regeneration powers. He also has a dangerously manipulative and self-centered personality with no regard for any of his subordinates and only cares about himself but is calm, cold, and polite. His intelligence, cunningness, and charismatic looks make him a memorable character and villain.

10. Frieza

As the emperor of the universe, Frieza controlled his own imperial army, who feared his brutality and strength. He is very clever, manipulative, and has a dark sense of humor, which includes frequently mocking his enemies. Frieza is well-known despite having a low sense of morality because of his fighting technique. He has powers including super strength, speed, agility, sensing, energy projection, energy absorption, durability, telepathy, telekinesis, etc.
