K-Pop phenomena are now dominating the globe with their talent, and because of that, they are dominating the global market. All the luxurious ambassadorships were mostly fetched by Hollywood celebrities and supermodels but in the last few years, Korean celebrities took these positions as an ambassador either for Korean brands or the global market. Here are some Korean celebs who became the face of luxury brands.

1. BTS For Louis Vuitton

BTS is an acronym that stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond The Scene” is the most renowned and influential K- Pop group in the world. The boy band's immense popularity put them into the fashion world. BTS has been announced as a global face for the Louis Vuitton brand. Louis Vuitton is a French fashion brand with luxury goods. Suits worn by BTS to the 2021 Grammy awards earlier this year are from the brand's fashion week 2021 men’s wear collection designed by Abloh.

 

2. EXO's Kai For Gucci

Not just music but Exo Kai's (Kim Jong In) fashion has always been a trendsetter. The relation between Gucci and Kai has always been special. Exo's Kai has been appointed as the first-ever Korean global ambassador of Gucci and also the first South Korean artist that has been a consistent global ambassador for three years in Gucci's history. It is known that Kai starred in the Fall/Winter 2019 Eyewear global campaign by debuting in a Gucci advertisement.

 

3. BlackPink's Jisoo For Dior

Jisoo, a member of a popular K-Pop girl group named Blackpink, has been appointed as its new global face for both fashion and beauty by Dior, a French luxury brand. She is named an ambassador for the brand's local beauty lineup in 2019, but now her position has expanded. She also promulgated Dior for Dazed Korea's 155th edition as the cover model.

 

4. BlackPink's Rose For Tiffany & Co

Tiffany & Co announces Rose ́ as its newest global ambassador. Rose ́ is all set to debut in a new role in the 2021 HardWare digital campaign. Tiffany chose Rose ́ to star in the campaign because of her bold personality and influencing looks. Rose ́ is engaged with other endorsements with her fellow members of Blackpink including KISS ME, as well as with Saint Laurent.

 

5. Aespa For Givenchy

AESPA, a four-member girl group, has been appointed the brand ambassador for Givenchy, a French luxury fashion and perfume house, and is the first K-pop group that has been approached for Givenchy. Typically, fashion houses and brands select an individual member from groups for their brand ambassadorship, but this time director of Givenchy decided to pick up the entire group.

 

6. Enhyphen For Ami

AMI, a French label known for its casual and chic fashion, welcomed a rising K-Pop idol group, ENHYPHEN, a seven-member group, as its first global ambassador. The brand caters to both men and women with their chic and casual outfits. The South Korean boy band group and a French brand will be collaborating on several projects, and by this professional tie, the emotional tie of the two-nation will also be tightened up.

 

7. GOT7's Jackson Wang For Cartier

Hong Kong rapper, singer and dancer, became the face ambassador of Cartier, a watch brand. Cartier, French luxury goods house that designs, manufactures, and sells jewelry and watches. Cartier is also known to have launched the new Pasha de Cartier watch collection and a campaign to promote it, starring some of the biggest names in entertainment. The black-and-white portrait of Jackson Wang is featured in this campaign.

 

8. Sehun For Dior Men

SEHUN, one of the members of renowned K-Pop group Exo, is the newest global brand ambassador of Dior men and was also chosen as the ambassador for some big brands, e.g., Louis Vuitton and Ermenegildo Zegna. He flaunted a stylish winter collection of Dior Men's Winter 2020-21 clothing, designed by British designer Judy Blame. Being the new global ambassador of Dior men, Sehun also showed his stunning looks in a photoshoot with the fashion magazine Esquire.

 

9. Seulgi For Salvatore Ferragamo

 Seulgi, the main dancer of a popular girl group named Red Velvet, has been chosen as the global brand ambassador for the Italian luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo. She is debuting as part of their new Let’s Dance Collection. She also posted some series on Instagram where she is dancing wearing different styles of shoes from the highest fashion line. The well-known magazine named Harper's Bazaar released a pictorial with Red Velvet's Seulgi for its march issue on February 24th.

 

10. EXO’s Chanyeol For Prada

The Exo heartthrob Chanyeol, who was in Singapore for Prada's summer/spring collection in 2019, is now the brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion line. He starred in a special film where he and Irene interpreted Prada's elegant style with their charming persona. Alongside Chanyeol, Irene was also announced as a brand ambassador for Prada.
