The year 2023, is another eventful year that saw quite a handful of K-pop groups who made their debut. Out of these, many created a long-lasting and strong impression on the K-pop fans, making them eagerly awaiting their upcoming projects. Some of these groups result from various reality survival shows and project groups. Here is a list of best-selling K-pop newbies that debuted in 2023.

1. Primrose

Primrose is a Korean girl group formed by A.O Entertainment. The group has four members: Nahyun, Hayun, Ruby, and Rainie. It also had Yeum who was part of the group, but she left due to health reasons, on 23rd March 2023. Their group name means first rose. On 13th January 2023, they debuted with the Red Moon, their extended play.

2. THE7 

THE7, formerly known as Seven Stars, is a seven-member Korean-Thai group formed by Ganada Entertainment. It comprises Pa, Yunmin, Peanut, Opp, Yoyo, Yong Kwon, and Woochul. The four Thai members were picked through Seven Stars, a Thai survival show. On 29th January 2023, with their single Get Loose, they made their debut.

3. X: IN

X: IN is a five-member South Korean group formed by Escrow Entertainment. The group comprises Nizz, Hannah, E.Sha, Aria, and Nova. Their fandom name is Ready. The group released Who Am I, their pre-debut single, on 12 March 2023. On 11th April 2023, they debuted with Keeping The Fire, the album.

4. Xodiac 

Xodiac is a Korean boy group with nine members formed under One Cool Jacso. Their official slogan is X! Beyond the World! The group comprises Hyunsik, Lex, Gyumin, Sing, Leo, Zayyan, Beomsoo, Wain, and Davin. On 25 April 2023, with the digital release of the single Throw A Dice, they made their official debut.

5. 8Turn

8Turn, previously known as Boys of MNH(BOM), is a Korean boy group formed under MNH Entertainment. It has eight members: Jaeyun, Yoonsung, Kyungmin, Seungheon, Myungho, Minho, Haemin, and Yungyu. Their fandom name is Turning. On 30th January 2023, she debuted with the EP 8Turnrise.

6. Fantasy Boy

Fantasy Boy is a Korean boy group formed through Fantasy Boys, a MBC TV reality competition. They are an eleven-member group managed by M25 and PocketDol Studio. It consists of Kim Gyu-Rae, Oh Hyeon-tae, Ling Qi, Hikari, Kim Woo-seok, Kaedan, Hong Seong-min, Lee Han-bin, Kang Min-seo, Soul, and Hikaru. On 21st September 2023, they debuted with the EP New Tomorrow.

7. Zerobaseone

Zerobaseone, also known as ZB1, is a nine-member Korean boy group formed in 2023, through Boys Planet, Mnet’s reality competition. They are managed by Lapone and WakeOne. It comprises Kim Ji-woong, Sung Han-bin, Kim Tae-Rae, Kim Gyu-vin, Han Yu-Jin, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Ricky, and Park Gun-Wook. On 10th July 2023 they debuted with Youth in the Shade. They will make their debut in Japan in March 2024.

8. Baby Monster

Baby Monster, also known as Baemon, is a Korean girl group managed by YG Entertainment. The group comprises Pharita, Ahyeon, Rora, Chiquita, Ruka, Asa, and Rami. On 14th May 2023, they released their pre-debut single, Dream. On 27th November 2023, they debuted with the single Batter Up, as a group of six members, excluding Ahyeon, who is temporarily on hiatus due to health reasons.

9. Pow

Pow is a Korean boy group of five members formed by Grid Entertainment. It comprises Hyun Bin, Dongyeon, Yorch, Jungbin, and Hong. It is the first boy group that the agency has formed. On 13th September 2023, they released a pre-debut single, Favorite. On 11th October 2023, they debuted with the EP album Favorite.

10. Lun8

Lun8 is a Korean boy group consisting of eight members. It is managed by HIAN and Fantagio. The name means eight boys embracing the moonlight that brightens the night. It comprises Chael, Takuma, Dohyun, Ji Eun-ho, Jinsu, Junwoo, Ian, and Eunseop. On 15th June 2023, they debuted with the EP Continue?
