Different anime fans have different definitions of what makes a great anime husbando. There are fan-favorite characters that would produce excellent husband material. The villainous mass appeal of their love interest dates back to the popularity of the bodice ripper, which is a specific sub-genre of historical romance novels. In this genre, the heroine falls for the villain of the story. As we can see a hero like Spider-Man, will let the woman he loves die to save others. But, a villain would burn the world to protect the one they truly adore.
1. Eren Yeager- Attack On Titans
It is realistically argued that Eren Yeager, the anime’s fallen protagonist, is a terrible prospective partner, especially in how he dealt with Mikasa at the end. However, there is no doubt about his better qualities as a person. Before he becomes a monster, he shows time and again that he is willing to go to extreme ends to protect those who need help. His final decision was one based on his core sense of altruism.
2. Sosuke Aizen
Sosuke Aizen from Bleach is a calm and collected person who displays leadership qualities. He has dashing good looks and a perfect tendril of hair draped over his eye. Before his villainous glow-up, he used to wear glasses and had a floppy hairstyle. There is nothing like a villain who is incredibly polite, soft-spoken, and intelligent. When he wears glasses he has a Shipley air, but once he removes it he turns into a full villain.
3. Biba Amatori- Kabaneri Of The Iron Fortress
No man can pull off pink hair like Biba does. He has women surround him constantly and call him Beautiful, which he is. He is like a bubblegum Kylo Ren in style and looks with his high-collared cloak, messy coif, and longsword strapped to his side. His personality is mysterious, and what is known about him is his gift for politics, his talent for strategy, and his fox-like intelligence.
4. Hisoka- Hunter x Hunter
Hisoka is the antagonist of the series, who manages to balance being unmistakably handsome and terrifying with his fine features, joker aesthetic, and beautifully applied makeup. He wears his evil nature openly on his pastel sleeves and revels in tearing down his rival combatant. He is a powerful fighter who will leave someone alone if they are not challenged enough for him.
5. Prince Zuko- Avatar: The Last Airbender
Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation has one of the most beloved villain redemption arcs. Watching a villain struggle with their inner turmoil and later grow to become a better person, and who makes amends for their misdeeds is quite an experience to watch. He becomes a good husband and leader after much growth, and fans can’t ask for more from a former villain.
6. Itachi Uchiha- Naruto
A villain, Itachi is a wanted criminal for slaying his clan in the series. He did not commit the crime in flood blood but to stop more significant harm. He didn’t kill his little brother as he loved him so much. Everything that he did was for love, which is his most admirable quality. Even though he is mighty, he is also calm and thoughtful about his abilities.
7. Shogo Makishima- Psycho-Pass
Shogo from Psycho-Pass cares little for the pain of others and doesn't have much propensity for compassion. He has a vision for what humanity needs, however is incredibly misguided. Shogo is a cerebral person who is quite persuasive when he wants to be. He is exceptionally well-read and likes to examine and contextualize literature, from religious texts to classic plays.
8. Ling Yao- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
The twelfth crown prince of Xing, Ling Yao, shares some of the same desires as the homunculus Greed. He develops formidable powers when he rises with Greed and lets him control his body. He sullies steps into the role of the dark prince when he assimilates with the homunculus, wearing a new outfit that is as dashing as it is gothic.
9. Silver Mask- The Heroic Legend Of Arslan
The antagonist is also known as Holmes. Despite being a ruthless villain, he is more likely to rescue a princess rather than kidnap someone like Erik would. The silver mask, his villainous moniker, is pretty and would make an excellent title for a historical romance novel. He likes Princess Irina, which softens and complicates his character, showing a side that can deeply care for someone.
10. Prince Demande- Sailor Moon
Black Moon’s Prince Demande is one of the most gorgeous villains in the arc. He wears a white regal suit with slatted dress shows, filigreed blue embroidery, and a long blue cloak. His shag-cut hair slightly obscures his pretty face. He fell in obsessive love with Neo-Queen Serenity, who gazed at his disgust and loath in her eyes. When he tries to kiss the Sailor Moon, she pushes him away. He might as well have strutted right out of a romance novel.
