We see a lot of different characters in each anime series, from protagonists to antagonists and their stories. And some antagonists are demonic psychopaths in nature. They leave us with hatred, anger, and also fear toward them. No discrimination and we have male as well as female insane characters. How about- a pretty lady turns out to be a psycho killer and a gentleman to be the manipulative head behind the murders? Not all these villains have a charismatic appearance, but some look scary and creepy. These personalities are the result of their dark secrets and backstories. Hence- psychopaths. Don't hate them too much that you could get hurt by any one of them.
1. Shuu Tsukiyama
Anime: Tokyo Ghoul
The hunger for his best meal and in search of that, he can have humans also ghouls. He catches his desperate interest in Ken Kaneki. Ken is half human and half ghoul, so it's much more evident that he will drive his saliva after Ken's blood. He can seem a gentleman with his purple hair and suit, but in reality, he is a nut for human meals.
2. Midari Ikishima
Anime: Kakegurui
If a person can stab their eye out with a pen just for money to pay debts or for personal use, it's psychotic. Midari is one of the masochistic characters, for which she puts a gun on her head. She carelessly gambles and has no control over her saving habits. Midari Ikishima is one of the insane characters from the series- Kakegurui. The anime is about gambling and students of the gambling school.
3. Hisoka Morow
Anime: Hunter x Hunter
Hisoka wears clown-like attire and makeup. On one of his upper cheeks, there's a pink star, and on another blue droplet. Like his creepy look, he brings all the twists in scenes and changes the situation. Even if his character is not welcoming, he goes calm and unexpected. He cares when he is in need; otherwise just a violent clown threat from the anime- Hunter x Hunter.
4. Yuno Gasai
Anime: The Future Diary
She is mad for the love of Yukiteru, the protagonist, and can kill or harm anyone who tries to come closer to him, which means she is a yandere. Yukiteru himself gets scared of her this side; on the contrary, she can be intelligent, beautiful, and pretty. Yuno's past is the side effect of her violent psychotic character. Be aware! Her appearance can wrong your predictions of her hidden personality.
5. Light Yagami
Anime: Death Note
When you get power, you grow wings! If Yagam has to get a quote, this quote would be a perfect reflection of his action after getting the notebook. He is a usual high school student until he finds a mysterious notebook, Death Note. When he gets the power to kill anyone by writing the person's name, he decides to kill the evil. Later he continues killing anyone he desires and probably who opposes him.
6. Gaara
Anime: Naruto
He is no more a psycho behaving insanely. His younger self was a lunatic who murdered and killed people to protect himself and avoid loneliness. This side of Gaara existed before Naruto existed in his life. Well, the elder Gaara is now more powerful and muscular but not the psycho-killer he used to be. His dark circles can scare you, but there is no darkness underneath no, and he is no longer an antagonist.
7. Sonozaki Shion
Anime: Higurashi: When They Cry
You won't fall for the pretty green hair flips, green eyes, and gorgeous face when I mention her demonic serial killer personality. She is quite a villain in this show, along with her twin sister Mion. They often change their identities and behave like another one. The reason for her evilness develops after Satoshi (the one she loves) disappears.
8. Johan Liebert
Anime: Monster
If you say you didn't kill anyone, the truth is that you made someone kill the other. The study and understanding of psychology can play a manipulative weapon for humans. If used negatively, it's a disaster for which Johan could be a great example of a psycho character in anime. He is the older twin brother of Nina, who happens to be kind and sweet with some hidden negatives but better if compared to the bankrupt Johan.
9. Lucy
Anime: Elfen Lied
Lucy, Nyu, or Kaede, is the so-called Queen Diclonius and the protagonist in the show with small horns. She has two personalities to project, but she is unaware of her versions. Her destructive or villain personality is Lucy, who can kill anyone. Nyu is the innocent version, while Kaede is her real name and personality. If she appears around you, make sure that Lucy isn't her current version.
10. Tomura Shigaraki
Anime: My Hero Academia
He is the greatest wrinkle-faced antagonist in the show, all credit to his master- All For One. He is arrogant and selfish, although he suffers from the trauma of killing his family. He appears to have more strength and powers after his surgery. Tomura dreams of becoming a prominent villain even after being the League of Villains.
