Following the suicides of several Japanese celebrities, notably Yuko Takeuchi, Haruma Miura, and Hana Kimura, there was a widespread debate in Japan on the significance of mental health. Sadly, it continued to be just chatter. Since then, the nation hasn't actually made many significant, official adjustments to support those dealing with mental health concerns. The famous suicides did, however, appear to encourage many people to discuss their troubles in greater detail. Some people have come clean about beginning to put their own mental health above employment.

1. Yuko Takeuchi

Yuko Takeuchi seemed to lead a perfect life from the outside. She had lately given birth to her second kid and three times received Japan's top acting prize. She portrayed a leading ramen brand in commercials and a box office favourite last year. 40-year-old Ms. Takeuchi committed suicide. Nobody can truly know what hidden suffering may have existed, but in a Japanese culture that places a high value on "gaman" fortitude or self-denial, many people feel under pressure to keep their own troubles hidden.

2. Haruma Miura

Miura hanged himself in his closet at his Minato, Tokyo, residence, where he was discovered unresponsive. When he failed to return messages, calls, or doorbell noises, his boss, who had been waiting to pick him up for work, went to check on him and ended up finding his body. After being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead at 2:10 p.m. Due to the discovery of what appears to be a suicide note in his room, police suspect Miura committed suicide. Undated but expressing worry and thoughts of passing away, the note was written in Miura's notebook.

3. Hana Kimura

On May 23, 2020, early in the morning, Kimura shared some of the hateful comments she had gotten while posting self-harm photographs on Twitter and Instagram. Later that day, she was reported dead at the age of 22. Three days later, Dave Meltzer asserted that consumption of hydrogen sulphide was the cause of death. The death was judged a suicide by December 2020.

4. Sei Ashina

Local news sources claim that she was discovered deceased on Monday in her Tokyo apartment. Both Tokyo police and Ashina's agency have verified that the actress committed suicide. In 1983, Ashina, whose true name is Igarashi Aya, was born in Fukushima. She relocated to Tokyo as a teen and worked as a model. She began landing acting jobs right away, and in 2002, she made her TV debut. She appeared in the 2005 movie Kamen Rider Hibiki & The Seven Senki as well as the superhero television series Kamen Rider Hibiki.

5. Sayada Kanda

A singer and actress from Japan, Sayaka Kanda. The only child of pop singer Seiko Matsuda and actor Masaki Kanda, she was raised in Japan. Kanda was discovered unconscious on the fourteenth floor of a hotel in Chuo ward, Sapporo, on December 18, 2021. At a hospital, she was subsequently declared dead. The Hokkaido Prefectural Police believe Kanda committed suicide by jumping from an upper story of the hotel, although the cause of death was found to be severe shock.

6. Ryuhei Ueshima

On May 11, 2022, Ueshima Ryuhei, a popular Japanese comedian, actor, and television personality who belonged to the comedy group "Dacho Club," died abruptly and unexpectedly, leaving his entire family in shock. Ueshima was allegedly found dead at his house in Tokyo's Nakano Ward, Japan, early on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, after committing suicide due to depression, according to investigators from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.

7. Akira Kubodera

The 43-year-old Japanese actor Akira Kubodera reportedly committed suicide, according to Japanese media. Kubodera was discovered in a coma at his Tokyo apartment. Once he got to the hospital, he was declared dead. He committed suicide, according to the police's preliminary investigations.

8. Takashi Fujiki

The actor from the television series Bloody Monday 2 to pass away was Japanese actor Takashi Fujiki, 80, who was discovered dead at home by his son on September 21. (2010). Fujiki apparently left a note stating that he "lacked confidence to continue acting," and the police are looking into the possibility of suicide, according to Japanese media. Since his job had been significantly reduced as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, he had spent the most of his time at home. He intended to perform in a musical.

9. Juzo Itami

Itami passed away on December 20, 1997 in Tokyo as a result of a fall from the top of the structure housing his office. A suicide note that said he was killing himself to clear his name after being wrongly accused of having an affair was discovered on his desk. A tabloid magazine reported on this affair two days later.

10. Arihiro Hase

Hase leaped from his apartment's window seven stories down on July 30, 1996, at around 4:00 A.M. In TV interviews, Sanji stated that his son's death who was 31 years old had been determined to be a suicide. His voice as Hikaru was used in the Macross: Do You Remember Love? video game adaption after his passing. Iijima returned to the character of Lynn Minmay for the English dub release of Macross by ADV Films in 2005, and she has said in interviews that she is dedicating this new release to him.
