Anime Digest

The Tempest and their allies held a meeting to decide the future of the monsters. Rimuru Tempest is the true demon lord now, and he goes against Clayman. The ruler is confident that he can take down anyone who goes against him because he has Veldora the Storm Dragon, Raphael the Ultimate Skill, and other powerful companions.

The Feel-Good Part

In the second season, they added more exciting action scenes. The show featured some excellent songs. The service is also good. It’s interesting because the story started as a cute slime looking after and starting a kingdom, but the second season contains more deep meanings than the cute fluff storyline. The plot is funnier than the first one. The characters are also a good part of the show.

The Disappointing Factor

At the end of the show, it becomes a bit exhaustive. It will feel like the show is going to end. The art and quality towards the end of the season are a little poor. We can spot the difference in skill between the seasons. It is slow-paced and contains a little more fluff and filler. The majority of the episodes feel like they were unnecessarily stretched. They didn’t show that much importance to the villains. The action scenes get worse as the episodes go by.

In-Depth Analysis

The second season kicks off exactly where the first left off. Rimuru is trying to get revenge for what happened in the previous season. The season is more concentrated on action and revenge. The show follows a man who gets killed, but he gets reincarnated in another place, and he is living as a slime named Rimuru. Hinata Sakaguchi learns about the monster kingdom from the letter she got from a merchant. We have a lot to learn from the characters. As the last part suggests, Rimuru starts taking revenge on Clayman. The art gets a little bad towards the end.

Star Power

The show made the characters funnier in this one. The main characters of the show are Rimuru Tempest as Miho Okasaki, Shion as Mao Ichimichi, Veldora Tempest as Tomoaki Maeno, Ranga as Chikahiro Kobayashi, Milim Nava as Rina Hidaka, and Benimaru as Makoto Furukawa. Clayman, the antagonist, is presented as the most arrogant and evil person ever. Other demon lords are offered as a little dumb and brutal. Character representations are on point. The voice actors did their best to show the arrogance of the character. The character designs are good.

Overall Opinion

The show is enjoyable, and it is a fun one to watch too. The plot takes time to build up. But the twists didn’t hold up as much thrill in this part. Ost is solid. The story gets better over the episodes, but the only problem remains is the pacing.
